So Stoked to Meet Some Members Whom I Thought Had left WA

As the title goes, just really stoked to come across some members whom I thought had long since flown the coop.

Welcoming new referrals, still doing their thing.

Here in WA, the season's come and go, and after you have been here a while, you get to see them grow, and then you see them dissipate, born on the breeze, and then, vanishing on the wind.

Everyone brings their own little piece that helps to make the WA puzzle what it is.

We hear a lot about the sayings of the high-flyers of yesteryear; I for one like hearing the sayings of members present and members not to distance past. It is always good to hear from people in the trenches of affiliate marketing.

The nuances seem to be more real and relatable.

Is it just me?

I am trying not to denigrate achievements past; I like reading about contemporaries, facing up to challenges, and winning.

Thought I would set the ball rolling, charge you glass to the WA book of contemporary sayings and memes.

An occasional moment on my part.

To my fellow affiliate marketers;

You will always be my marketing friends, you know too much about me. You may see through me but accept me nonetheless.

We are privileged to be able to share this journey with like-minded people.

Real WA marketing friends are never apart, maybe in distance but never in heart.

We can learn so much from the people that we travel with, from beginners to the experts.

It is the WA friends we meet along the way that help us to appreciate the journey.

The most memorable marketing friends are the ones that gave you the time of day before you were successful.

That is a biggie, we all have friends, true friends stand beside us even when we have nothing and when we are falling they step in to stop us.

How beautiful to find a marketing friend, who asks nothing but your company.

WA marketing friends the best form of free therapy you can get.

Thinking about it;

My WA friends are the family I picked for myself.

In our normal lives our paths would not cross, my journey is enriched for meeting so many like-minded friends.

And closing out, find your marketing tribe and love them no strings attached.

That kind of sums up Wealthy Affiliate me thinks.

Thats about as soft as I get, another five years before a repeat performance, well four and three quarters at least.

I would like to hear from some contemporaries.

What do you think?

We have a community that is so willing to hear your story and so eager to help that after a while you become close to them even if you never get to meet them personally. I know I feel like that about quite a few of them and I missed them when I don't see them communicating. So I am with you!

Well said, Lydia, the community is like that, always good to share the journey with the like minded.

Take care.

Alex

Alex,
Yes, we are here, then not-but that is life. There are times I have a schedule, then times I don't. With the ebbs and flows of life, I take a step forward, then 2 back it seems.

However, an encouragement here and one there from old friends here at WA, make me know we are all working at our own pace- whatever that is.

In our close community, one thing is certain, it is easy to compare ourselves to others. Always a mistake. Use other members successes to encourage you and help you think through your business plan, not compare apples and watermelons. See the successful ideas that are shared to give you new ideas, and encouragement to move forward.

So I took a wrong turn, new beginnings are just around the curve. Continue to seek your dreams and move forward. We have learned so much during the time we have been a member here, That in itself is a positive and a move forward.
Sami

Hi Sami, good to see you and thank you for sharing your experience.

Some wise words of reflection

One of the keys is not to compare, it can be a trap to fall into.

The members and community can be the source of so much inspiration and experiences that are shared.

Everything can add to our individual journeys.

Long term those wrong turns can be what was needed at the time, in the passing of time everything will fall into place.

Best wishes.

Alex

So true Shelly. Thank you saying this in a way that is simple and spot on. The benefits of being a member here will fit everyone.

Hello Alex,

That's an interesting blog post-Alex. I hope you're going well and that business is good.

I hear what you're saying Alex, sometimes we think someone has disappeared, however, they are just busy writing content. It's very refreshing when they suddenly pop up with a blog post though. There are a few people on this platform who are highly successful and yet there ranking is actually quite low.

I have not been quite so active over the last few months due to the fact that I have an off-line business and have been busy writing content for my websites. You could say I'm hovering in the background. I would love to have more time to comment and participate on this great platform.

Wishing you all the best.

Roy

Hi Roy good to see you, everything goes well.

Sometimes I wonder what happened to this person or that person, and what they are up to.

Some members make a mark and their presence felt.

Then they just slip away.

It is always refreshing to hear from them and observe there progress.

I guess there are different phases to the journey. Each phase takes time and energy. Time has to be allocated.

Thank you for your thoughts, Roy and best wishes as you continue to grow your content.

Alex

Hello Alex,

Thank you for your reply, I find it really encouraging when I read an upbeat blog post where someone has had a level of success. I also think this type of blog post is encouraging to people starting out with an online business.

I guess we all have different and unique ways of getting from A to B. I do find it fascinating, in a good way, when I see that someone has made it to Vegas and I've never heard of them! They have obviously been working hard behind the scenes!

Wishing you all the best until next time Alex.

Roy

Wow Alex,

I didn't know that you had a soft side. I understood exactly what you were saying.

It is always nice to hear from someone that had been super active but then they feel the need to be working quietly in the background.

This community is a special place.

Hi Sondra,
I know; some days I scare myself.

We build a presence and much of what we do is fostered by fellow travelers that we meet along the way.

It was good to meet members who have directed their energy in different directions.

Their presence is felt.

There is something special about the place that is created by the community.

Thank you for chiming in always good to hear from you.

Alex

Hi Alex,

I read your post earlier today and thoroughly enjoyed it. There was no time to respond as I join with a group of wonderful friends each Sunday morning. That's about it for my 'offline' pleasure each week. From then on, my weekly pleasure is being involved with Wealthy Affiliate members.

In saying that, I have not been making much 'noise' recently but I tune in to see what others are up to each day.

Yes, and members certainly do come and go. A few years back there was a significant exodus which left a very empty feeling. But, one moves on with a reminder of the original purpose of joining WA.

WA marketing friends are certainly valued and I can't imagine life without them. In saying that, I need to place more focus on my websites or goodness knows what my future pathway will be!

So, to bring this to an end, I thank you for the support you have given me over the years at WA and look forward to a bright future for all WA members.

With best wishes,

Valerie

Hi, Valerie good to see you, it is always good to have a balanced life, finding that place where we engage both online and in the real world can make for a sustainable, journey.

Always good to catch up with friends and family.

I remember when that occurred, many were taken by surprise, the seasons come and go. Learning to adapt can be what can define us.

That question is one that is on many minds I am sure; making that commitment to those websites is the thing that will drive many of the outcomes we are seeking.

My reflections of late have been around the intangible assets that our membership brings.

Those invisible things which at the end of the day can be the things that make all the difference.

Thank you for your comment Valerie much appreciated.

Alex
