It is the little things that count the most, do the little things right and the big things will fall into place just about every time. It has been one of those interesting weeks helping some young guys with the marketing side of their landscaping business. Like all businesses it is the game of two halves on one side we a have the nuts and bolts the technical side and on the other, we have the strategic planning, management, and marketing which at the end of the day can be the most important, just a personal reflection.

These guys are super talented and really creative, provide value but just lacked one thing. They were doing plenty of promotion but not getting the conversions that would make their business successful beyond the buy yourself a job phase. When we are working away at the coal face it is hard to see the overview.

There is that saying you can not teach an old dog new tricks but the old dog does know most of the tricks and if he is a good dog then those tricks work pretty well.

Riding shotgun, it became pretty obvious what their pain point was and it was rather simple they just didn't listen to what the client was saying or asking, such a little thing but it was having a huge impact on their business.

The thing that is played out on a daily basis, is that we are all doing little things that just fly under our radars. in themselves, they are not show stoppers, but once that you realize that perhaps that you could do things differently or improve the way that you are doing things it can have a huge impact moving forward.

If you look the core thing about WordPress it is about creating content, one of the real benefits of Wealthy Affiliate is that we can tap into this vast knowledge base which can really help us to lift our games in so many ways.

Sometimes the things that we don't see or have knowledge about others do, if we are looking to improve this can be so valuable and after all engagement is what we fail or succeed by to a degree.

Sometimes we don't see it, the good old saying the forest for the trees, springs to mind.

Writing and creating content is always on our, minds in this world that we have entered. In the beginning, I could' write my way out of a wet paper bag. Through practice starting to feel comfortable with how the skill set is developing.

Just like the new landscape guys we never see some things, we cab miss what we are doing or how we are doing them, if we have access to a resource or a collective knowledge we can look at what we are doing and also effect changes. So a little change can make all the difference in the total scheme of things it just helps.

I always chuckle when folks talk about " them " I have searched high and low and never come across “ them “. In terms of them, we could call our audience them.

So producing content are we writing for them or to them and then are we writing for us or them a tricky way to put things.

If we are listening to what the audience is searching for and the cool thing is that they usually are, the solutions will come to mind and problems will be solved a win-win.

Even if we are stuck at times, tap into the huge knowledge base and great supportive community that is Wealthy Affiliate and always look to change the little things because they can make that difference moving forward.

I was doing something that I thought was quite clever and cool came across this tutorial here at WA and decided that no it’s not so good, so I will adopt a different approach. In my mind it is sort of like that huge voyage around the world you start off being 1 degree out in your calculations at the beginning and when you are nearing your destination you miss it completely because you are way off course.

The little things stack up and create big things.

Alex - Thanks for an insightful post. I agree the little things do matter. I've recently slowed things down a bit. I am going back and taking a second look at how I set things up on my site. Reading some of the comments, posts and training here have shed new light on some of the small stuff. Thanks for sharing.

Hi, Patrick looking at the fine details can actually help us in so many ways, I have ventured through that process as well, the little improvements do add up and they do start creating that big picture. Thanks for sharing your thoughts much appreciated.

Great thing a consistency as I have told myself three blogs in a week.

That is the way to create that online presence, Shahid, those three blogs a week will add up in no time all the best as you move forward.

An informative post. Thanks for sharing.

LOL. So you don't know who "they" are???

Anyway, I just read a book by Andy Andrews called "The Little Things" Why you SHOULD sweat the small stuff. It's a short read and confirms your point.

Very good post.

Hi, Keith, you are most welcome thank you for your kind words.

We have a pack of "good dogs" here changing things a little at a time!

Classic Mike just a play on words but you are so right, I can not recall being in a place with so many positive like mind folks call the Wealthy Affiliate effect.

A very interesting post Alex.
My thoughts are that to grow and improve our knowledge it is best that we learn to listen to what others are saying. This is vitally important when providing a service. It is also important to keep an open mind and to not develop a 'know it all' attitude.

Hi Valerie that is the key indeed, I like how you have mentioned keeping an open mind it always helps us to reflect on what we are doing and in so doing be open to change, it indeed starts with the ability to listen, there is always so many opportunities to develop as we move along. thank you for sharing your thoughts much appreciated.
