I have tried everything listed in the WA knowledgebase, including BlueMail for Android and not using wifi, just cellular. Is SMTP down, or down just for Androids? Is anyone out
Thanks for answering.
I'm talking about on an android phone at home or at work.
What is a snd breaks at work? If it is an Android, did the setting work or did you have to tweak it?
I did the correction on the many breaks..yes, I use Android phone and my settings are working great.
I have a Galaxy s5. But we might both be running the same 6.0.1. software. (It is under system and ABOUT.) I will need to keep asking around. Thanks.
Sorry..as I said mine is S7 and works great... i used a lot when I am at work. Good luck to you.
Spread the word... The problem is the port number. You're told to use port 25, but it's actually sometimes Port 587. I got it working for two of my sites now on my Android phone! Thanks for listening to me whine! Have a nice weekend.

"Canceled - Invalid EPP/authorization key - Please contact current registrar to obtain correct key"
I'm getting the correct key, but then how do I apply it at WA?
Hi there!
Where did you buy your domain from? Can you give us more details? And did you follow Kyle's training in pointing your domain to WA? WA Hosting - Setting Up Your Domain DNS Cheers =)
Wix.com was slow to email me the transfer code. I asked twice. I eventually received 2 emails. I chose to use the last one, figuring the earlier one would be canceled. I was wrong. I am to use the code sent earlier. When I try to do that at WA, I'm told "Please delete the existing transfer record before adding a new one." How do I do that?
Maybe you need to give some time for the system to update. Is it still giving you the same issue now?
If this thing still persists, I think the best option is to send a ticket to SiteSupport, through the SiteRubix here at WA.

If I have a massive Wix site that will take some time to recreate here, is it bad I don't want to point the domain here yet?
Wouldn't it be okay to skip moving the site
You should rebuild it here on WA..and don't skip any lessons...the course will help you decide what you want to do in the future.
I WILL NOT SKIP ANY LESSONS, PROMISE!
And I promise to rebuild it here, but I have soooo many bells and whistles (www.catalystghoststories.com) that I have to wait before switching and sending people to an unfinished new site.
Thank you, LoreDonna for taking the time to answer.
There's nothing wrong with not wanting to host your site with WA in my opinion. I was in a similar situation, I had created my website outside of WA hosting, and it was causing more hassle trying to move it to WA, so in the end just decided to stick with my current host and continue with the lessons.
I'm happy with the way things are going, and I use Namecheap to host my account and things are going smoothly.
The main things I can't do is see my website's health check, and I can't get comments in the SiteComments section, but that's ok for me as I can get my comments elsewhere in WA.
Leave the domain as is so the public will keep seeing your completed site. In the meantime you can take your time re-building it here at WA while going through the courses and learning what you can optimize.
When you are comfortable that your site here is "public-ready" then you can switch it at that time.
I don't recommend you switching it right away as you site would be incomplete and you could lose page rank and also followers of your site. I also don't recommend you rushing to get your site content transferred over here.
Leave your site as is, recreate it here while you take the time and learn what you can improve then switch when it's ready.
What I thought, but wanted to make sure I wouldn't have trouble with the lessons.
Thank you.
No problem. You won't have trouble with the lessons at all as it's designed to build a brand new website from the bottom up.
The lessons are so so so clear, I'm surprised that they don't mention if you have a fully functional website, you should not point the domain until the new site is ready, and that you will not I have trouble with the lessons.
Yakitori, I took your advice. Now the site is recreated here. Trouble is, Wix.com released the domain, but after 48 hours, WA shows the transfer is still "in progress." I have several messages with WA tech support and not really receiving help there, but I will be patient.
I just finished Level 2 training, but I haven't been able to go live with my new website, because I want Google to track it in its proper home, www.catalystghoststories.com, not the siterubix version.
Speaking of patience, I can't wait to submit the site for all my new friends here at WA to see and discuss with me, but even that traffic could help me with Google, so I'd rather test my patience further here too. No sense in starting the ball rolling, stopping and then restarting again. Right?
Would appreciate any insight and thanks,
Yeah, it took awhile for my domain to get assigned as well. You're right in that you just need some patience until the WA team has everything properly set up but if in a couple more days it's still not working, you should definitely contact support to see what's up.
You can always just post your subdomain site in your profile so people can at least start giving you feedback right away. You can update it to your domain name once it gets applied. In the meantime, you can also submit some pages for comments or feedback as those don't matter whether it's on your subdomain or domain, it'll still appear on both. If you have any Google Adsense or anything, any traffic, even WA traffic, will generate you money so the earlier you get your site out there and people looking at it, the better.
Hope that helps.
My domain is catalystghoststories.com, and my temp site is http://catalystghoststories.siterubix.com/.
Are you saying I should post the siterubix site on WA right away and that the immediate traffic won't be a waste? I was thinking I wanted that WA traffic on catalystghoststories.com only.
Wasted as in what sense? Your website with sub domain is already considered "live" whether you post it here or not and is being crawled by search engines. If your issue is whether or not to post the link here on WA, you should.
Whether you get traffic to your sub domain or your domain later on doesn't really matter because the point of putting it on WA is just for other members to see your site, give you feedback, add comments, make you money on ads. There's no traffic that you are wasting, in fact you are getting more traffic by posting it here earlier. If you wait until the domain is set, that's actually wasting potential traffic that you could have got if you already posted the sub domain days ago. Whether they go to your site via sub domain or domain they are essentially still going to the same site.
Also, if you're moving the domain from an existing site that is already ranking in search engines, read this article to help you keep the rankings. You may need to contact support to do some of these changes. If your domain is new then you don't have to bother.

The history of a site is its history no matter what the domain? Google will move the traffic history from catalystghoststories.siterubix.com to catalystghoststories.com ?
That question will make clear what I don't understand about how the data is amassed. Once I know that, then I can understand why exposing my site to traffic at catalystghoststories.siterubix.com will benefit me when I'm moved to catalystghoststories.com.
I know the only difference is the DNS pointer, but I don't know how that relates to Google crawls.
Thanks so much for explaining.
The domain has been around for a while, but I haven't been trying to rank it. And it wasn't a WordPress site, so does that article still pertain?
How do I decide if the history to now is worth saving? Is that covered in the article?
Oh you are talking about exposing your sub domain site even AFTER your domain is up and running? In that case you should focus on just the domain as Google treats them differently. I though you were just talking about whether or not you should display your sub domain site NOW, before your domain is up, just on WA so other people can see your site. Because, aside from Google I thought it would be beneficial in getting immediate feedback on your site along with hits for ads if you have any.
Traffic history will not be moved but the SEO that was previously done on the site can be helped by doing 301 redirects as mentioned in this article.
http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-properly-move-wordpress-to-a-new-domain-without-losing-seo/
Actually because you are moving the domain here to WA you won't really have to worry about it as all the pages that are already in search engines would be pointing to the domain, which will eventually point here. The only thing you might want to consider is adding a 404 redirect plugin. The reason is if your old site had a page called catalystghoststories.com/ghoststories/post/1234 that won't exist on your new site so having the 404 redirect will redirect those non-existant links to your homepage instead of getting a file not found error.
Maybe check this plugin out: https://en-ca.wordpress.org/plugins/all-404-redirect-to-homepage/
THIS IS INVALUABLE! Thank you. Can I install it now on http://catalystghoststories.siterubix.com/ or should I wait until WA lets me move to http://catalystghoststories.com/ ?
(Also, I need to read how to install manual optional plugins to WordPress. I'm sure I can find it on this site.)
You can install it now because you won't know when the domain actually gets applied. So at least if you have everything set up now, it'll be ready when it does get applied.
To install plugins, just go to your site and click on "Plugins" on the left menu. You'll see "Add New" to add new plugins. Remember to activate it after you install it.
Installed and it is awesome. Instead of a 404 error, I was whisked to my home page. Thank you, Yakitori.
