A (wee) rant.
Why do people keep answering questions that have been correctly answered? It would be much better for everyone if you just liked the correct answer.
I feel that a lot of people are just answering again to boost their ranks.
But, if instead you simply like the correct answer, then the person asking the question can see quickly which is the correct answer without having to trawl through all the different answers.
Others that read that question in the future will also be able to quickly get the right answer.
Please, think about how you can help the community. Liking the correct answer is better than rewording the same thing 10 different ways.
Just a rant from a newbie ;)

A lot of the time people are answering a questions at the exact same time, and then when they publish multiple responses come in for the same question.
Also, perspective. Many people accomplish the same thing different, as there are often times many ways to do something. Some are of course more efficient, but that is the beauty of asking questions of the community.
Sometimes you will get wide range of responses, all of which can be correct, but offering all sorts of insights to those that ask the questions (and those reading them).
Hi Kyle. I don't disagree with your points. However, I was specifically talking about those answers that are almost exactly the same. "Use google" and "visit google" is the same advise.
And a lot of these answers are not published at the same time.
Thanks for your input on this though. I just hope people use the like button more. 10 - 15 answers against a question... it would be easy to see with the likes which the wisdom of the crowd believes is the better answer :)

I for one am always commenting if you ever need more help just let me know. Because I am still willing to help. If you or whoever posted the question has the answer THEY need to respond to the community that they no longer are in need of assistance so people will stop HELPING!!!!
