Just finish Level 2
Just finished level 2 in the training: Building Your Own Traffic Producing Website.
I'm pretty happy with what I've accomplished so far… although struggling a little with how far I have to go (maybe that's because I read so many terrific blogs by people who do such a great great job…)
My website clayclancultivates.com is coming along slowly. It is about gardening, children and God (not in that order). I'm still developing how that combination really works and I'm leaving it open in my mind to split the genres later into 2 websites… But have determined to not worry about that until my training here is more complete.
My goal for the next 3 months is to have a good flow of posts happening weekly and to have made some money (as in $1) from my site.
My goal for the next 6 months is to produce an information product of some description to either sell or use to promote my site… thoughts are still stewing!
I'm also in the works of starting an Etsy store… just haven't figured out yet whether I will promote this on my current blog or have a blog for the store.
Oh, so many ideas, so little time and energy:)

One thing I see that is popular is composting. Create an online course on this and charge just a small amount for it. Also create a Bible study on how God cultivates us and what He does to help us grow. This could be a subscriber option. You have huge potential with this. I move slow with my site as well. Keep going and stop second guessing yourself, that is doubt and a huge obstacle to place in hour way.

Composting sounds good… just need to properly learn how myself first:) I'll definitely find myself thinking on that idea in the coming days though I'm sure.

Ultimately, your Etsy store could be an entirely separate business from your http://clayclancultivates.com site. Yet, you could create a page within http://clayclancultivates.com , explaining your Etsy store with a click through banner &/or such.

Yet for now, it seems that it is best to focus on the foundation creation / building to an initial "practice" website. I mean if this is going to be your future (& immediate?) lifestyle, then why do we try to cram it into a single sheet of paper? Life is a canvas, some bigger than others. Me? -Why not go with the multiple super sized canvases?
This ain't a lecture, just some ideas.

Perfectionism is a barrier to productivity I think.
I want it all 'perfect' now… forgetting I can change it all as time goes on and it's not set in stone what the final product will be.
Is a website ever 'finished'?
