Hey all, I've been playing with the keyword tool here on WA (not Jaxxy). The other day I found a keyword phrase that recorded no results (when you click 'competition' and read t
Yes. I actually compared results earlier from two different keywords (with jaaxy and WA keyword tool), and I got approx. the same exact results.
However, when I wrote a post using one keyword with little competition, but a very high volume of searches, doesn't seem like that specific post ranked.
I believe though your always better off searching LSI, or long-term keywords. Their much more predictable and reliable, than a simple 2 word keyword.
Anyway no reason to lose any hope at all. Just keep writing quality content when you can. That's what really counts in the end. Be consistent, and be patient.
I blogged about this recently and I show you why you can trust the keyword tool. Hope it helps :) https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/steveo5770/blog/understanding-competition-analysis-for-beginners
ok will do:)
Also was getting Google suspicious by my constant searchings… had to verify I wasn't a computer a could times… is this normal?
Thank you for your patience with me:)
yeah...it will do that sometimes when you're searching a lot of keywords and keep trying to view the competition.
Thanks Jimmy! Kinda made me feel a bit guilty for some reason:)
The post by Labman was very useful too!
Thanks again everyone!
Sounds like you have found a glitch. 0 results can be returned at times if the API has a hiccup.
ALWAYS double check when a 0 result occurs.
This might help you to understand what the WA keyword tool is doing in the background. http://onlinelabguy.com/google-lies
Hey blairdc… I'm confused with that. if there is only 56 results… there is only 1 page???
Timrowland… One thing I figured: the """ around the search entry must ensure it only searches direct quotes; instead of bringing up every page with the random words through it...
Hey Adelaide, check the link and read the review Labman just posted. That actually explains exactly what I was talking about in more details.
Hope this helps!

when you search the same keyword in google, you have to go to the very last page...that's where you will see the "56 results."
Wish I could help you...but I just ask the same question. Why the results are very different using the keyword tool here and when you type it (the same) into Google. Considering the competition results appear to come up in Google.
If you find out...please, let me know.

Are the search results on the keyword tool in wa accurate?

You should not use the WA keyword tool. I did that for 5 of my posts, and i might as well throw all the hard work used on them out. I found keywords that WA said was like 8 competition. My articles are 1500 words and i have like 25 comments on them. I'm not even on page 10 yet. So you should really never trust this WA keyword tool.
I have also tried searching the same word like three times and i've gotten three different results every time.

As in, can I link webpages of recipes to a post… and maybe even use a picture from the page without permission from the website? I do want to do the right thing here… Thanks!
Hey Blaird, Thank you for the help… your answer probably confirmed what I thought. So, I can link a list of recipes, and provide my own photos… thanks so much!
you can certainly link to an external webpage without permission. For example, if I wrote an article and said, "According to a study done by the NIH..." I would link that study but don't need permission to do so.
As far as the images, that's a different story. You cannot take the picture without permission. I would encourage to find free images first. Or, if you have made these recipes yourself, take a picture of it and post it.
Is it ok to link to other sites without asking permission?
