Losing Momentum
Remember the story of the "Little Engine That Could"? Well, I am that little engine that can't. At least that is how I have been feeling these past few days. I feel as if my battle is all uphill right now, and I am doing the work, but not seeing any results. Now mind you, I have not been putting in tons of hours, but the time I do spend working on my site is really quality time. I guess I am one of those people who needs to "see" results early on when I am working on something, or I will soon become discouraged. I' m following the lessons step by step, and building some really good content. I've also added some terrific Affiliate links and banners and used some great keywords, but I still feel that no one is visiting my site. So what do you do when you are feeling discouraged? I know what I do. I usually go to YouTube and find some funny videos and laugh my butt off. So here is one of the videos I watched and had a good laugh .Mark Lowry TV Tunes. I hope you all will like it too. Now I am saying to myself, "I think I can, I think I can" once again. It's amazing what laughter can do!
Blessings

Life is a uphill battle, this is one of them. Its just a barrier with
determination you will go through it.,
I see you graduated based on your pic. Congrats to you on that. I suspect while working towards your degree there were a few times when you felt like the Little Engine that can't. I love this post. It reminds me of my now 30 year old son while he was young.
An assignment in one of his elementary classes was to write down something that was said to him by his parent that encouraged him. He didn't miss a beat, "I think I can, I think I can, I think I can" only we added a bit at the end, "I know I can, I know I can, I know I can."
He still uses these phrases today.
That's a great point you make there Susie, she is clearly a fellow mature student as am I, and I just graduated last month, - I never felt like giving up, but those 6 years of study, coursework, late nights and enough times, - no sleep at all and then another full day's work for someone else, were damn difficult, - and I thought sometimes I would not make it through. But I was so determined, - I'm sure it's been the same for you ablack1958, so remember that too. You have both just inspired me and reminded me what I have already, and can achieve. That's why I love this community. Well done and congrats on your achievements ablack1958.
Remember, the line turns to "I know I can. I know I can." And then to "I knew I could. I know I could."
I think you can too. Just keep persevering, the results will come when you least expect. All the best.
