As a part of my About page that I am really over thinking a lot right now, I have written the following mission statement, and I would like to get some feedback on it's wording:
I would use I as you are the sole owner of the company. If you use we, people could get the idea that there are more people involved and want better communication.
Mission Statement - First sentence replace success with goals. Second sentence take up all the words after "you need to.." and replace with "... you need to develop your goals." Then you can use success twice. These are my suggestions. Debbie
it is better to use "we" because this is not the website, this is community. Many people are integrated to this community and zhe see the benefits. The success is guaranted here.
Careful not to confuse UnleashedAffiliate is not the same as Wealthy Affiliate. UnleashedAffiliate is my website that is not a community website. While I will obviously be promoting Wealthy Affiliate (because it really is a site that I believe in), but my mission is not the same as Wealthy Affiliates.
1. You could also look at it as I being more personable, which helps you to be more trustable. It's up to you, I like to use I to show that I'm just one person trying to share something I enjoy.
2. The thesaurus is your friend: http://thesaurus.com/browse/success
1) Yes I think the real question becomes this. Am *I* the UnleashedAffiliate, in which case the statements should be more personalized, or is the 'company' the UnleashedAffiliate, which should be more a group thing. Perfect example of getting viewpoints, thank you for helping me with that.
2) Yep I could look it up in the thesaurus and find alternative words, I think the question was more 'does it sound repetitive' (needs to be fixed), or 'does it drive a point home to the reader' (keep it it sounds great)
Appreciate your feedback as always.

Thank you for all your comments, to avoid over analyzing it too much, I have revised it as follows, and am comfortable with this revision:
UnleashedAffiliate's mission is to empower people in realizing their own success through education and mentoring. Honesty, integrity and virtue drives me when providing the information you need to start, build and grow your affiliate marketing business. My success is measured by your success.
I know that as the site grows I can revise the mission statement, it is not set in stone, and I think the above mission statement reflects the goal of the website well.
Are you really going to be mentoring people through your site? Just curious - because the word has particular connotations.
"Mentoring is to support and encourage people to manage their own learning in order that they may maximise their potential, develop their skills, improve their performance and become the person they want to be." Eric Parsloe, The Oxford School of Coaching & Mentoring
(pasted from: http://www.mentorset.org.uk/pages/mentoring.htm)
That is what I want to do. Is there another connotation to the term?

Hey everyone - I am curious, (and new and a bit lost), as some of the steps ask us to make comments/posts here, or reply to others comments/posts, I am getting a bit lost in the
Your question makes sense. I'm actually wondering the same thing. I get a million 'what are your WA referral goals' notifications that aren't relevant.
If you've participated in any discussion, you will receive notifications unless you remove yourself from the conversation. To do this:
1) Go to the Notifications window (click on the Green icon with the globe in the upper right corner).
2) Check the entry beside the discussion
3) Click on arrow beside the blue Actions button and select "Remove me from the Discussion"
I hope this helps.
@WFS I am certainly glad you understood what I was trying to explain :) That's exactly it, I don't want to see a million notifications about people's goals (I mean that's where everyone starts, so its going to be high traffic / lots of notifications).
@CandyB That answers *part* of my question, now at least I can remove myself from the discussion. However, if I remove myself from the discussion, what if someone comments on my entry (or my reply to someone else's entry). I would still like to follow those parts of the discussion, just not the entire discussion.
@AaronMurray, we'll have to test this, but I think replies to comments are tracked separately from the entire discussion. If you scroll to the very bottom of any page, on the LEFT side, you'll see Account Settings. On the bottom of Account Settings, you can choose Notification Options there also.
Hello CandyB
I found the settings you were talking about "Account Settings", I think that's exactly what I was looking for (I will play with the settings a little later to see if I can get it tuned to what I am looking for.
Thanks for the help
Aaron
What I have seen is whenever you get a reply or like for your comments, you get an email if you click on the link it will highlight the reply (to your comment). Hope this helps!
Also if you could private message that assistance to me (or link? it to me) so I know how to get back to my question / your answer that would be great.
