My WealthyAffiliate Journey
I joined WealthyAffiliate about a week ago, and purchased the $19.00 first month premium membership yesterday. I really like the program, the social aspect, and the content I have seen up until now.
I started this blog as a sort of journal of my experiences both good and bad (though I am sure that most will be good of course), and to share some of the things that I have learned through this program.
In the past week I have browsed quite a bit of content, and from what I can see I have just barely scratched the surface of what WA has to offer. I have over the years heard of affiliate marketing, and relatively recently I decided that affiliate marketing was something that I could get really serious about.
During my time spent researching affiliate marketing, I came across some good reading, and walked into a couple of great learning resources. WealthyAffiliate and Affilorama (sorry, I said it!). While I do think both programs appear to be very strong leaders in helping people get into affiliate marketing, I can't make an honest comparison between the two because I have not learned enough to make fair judgement.
I did make a decision though that I wanted to put 100% into one program rather than splitting my efforts between the two programs, and ultimately (obviously) picked WA, because there was something I saw within the business model of WA that I really liked.
That is not to say that in the future I won't head over to Affilorama and dig deeper into what they have to offer, because I strongly do believe that leveraging multiple resources (including other programs that I have not yet come across), will be key in long term success. Never stop learning!
Back to the topic at hand however, I started out with the 'Get Started Here', and when it came to the niche portion, I did come up with a few niches that I liked (that were non-WA-promotional niches), however decided to first make a go of the Affiliate Bootcamp process and focus on marketing WA for my first project while I am learning, and all that I have learned about affiliate marketing so far is a good starting point to make a niche from.
So I bought a domain that I really liked (and I hope you all like it too, and don't hate me for grabbing it first :) - UnleashedAffiliate ), and I ask you all to head over and check out the one page that I have completed 'About Me'. I appreciate any feedback you have to offer and I look forward to posting regular updates of my progress.

Can you explain why? From what I have seen so far (and again, I am not speaking with any level of authority), the little bit content that I have seen they do seem very solid.
As far as I can tell they are more content driven rather than social driven (which is one of the real big perks I see with WA), but I didn't see anything that would keep me from using them as another learning avenue.
On a side note, I realize that I am using a stock picture for my profile, please forgive me, I am going to get around to changing it soon!

:) I like the style so far though, good luck with it.
Wow, you know, I have been playing with web design and development for a very long time and that is always a golden rule of mine, test your links!
Good catch on that, I have corrected the mistake.
Hello Ethan / Everyone
Just a quick note on Ethan's comment above, I corrected the link to my main page, however the 'about-me' page has moved and I am in the process of getting a bit better organization. So please bear with me as some of the links change. I am working on it!
Thanks
