It’s Been A While Since My Last Post.
Hi WA’ers,
Hoping you have all had a great week and are enjoying the weekend.
Since recovering from my second and more serious Covid infection I have been struggling with skin issues and following tests and biopsies have had a skin cancer diagnosis and now waiting on a treatment plan. It seems with age comes a lot of health issues to deal with.
However today was a really good day weather wise for mid November here in the UK so I decided to cheer myself up and get out on a motorcycle ride before the weather turns.
The question was, which one to use? The cruiser or the sportster. The cruiser is the more comfortable bike to ride now, another age thing but I still love the sports bike too so decided to take them both for a run out and fuel them up.
After the usual checks and adjustment of tyre pressures I had and enjoyable hour or so on each bike.
Riding my motorbikes is my way of relaxation and taking my mind of stresses and strains of everyday life and for a few hours today I forgot all about my diagnosis and upcoming treatment.
We all need a way to take our minds of stress and worry and just a few hours respite will help us tremendously when coping with health and life issues.

Looks to me like you've found a great way to deal with your stress. Sometimes I wish I still had a horse and could ride for a couple of hours now and then. It would sure take the mind off stressful issues.
Since I have no horse, I lose myself in a good book or play with the cat, and both seem to help.
Yes, I think it's the distraction from everday stresses and worries. For me riding a motorcycle, especially on todays roads in the UK I need to be totally focused in the ride which clesrs my mind of everything else.
I'm glad you got to take your two bikes out for a ride before the weather changed on your end.

Andy, thats a nice beautiful motorcycle bike. Awesome colors. I agree. Your bike riding is similar to my horseback riding experience so relaxing. I have not been on a motorcycle or on a horse for many years now. I do miss riding including snowmobiles. Have a great weekend.
Thanks Brenda, yes, each time I do get out I realise how much I miss not getting out on them.
Great that you were able to spend equal time with the two toys you love so dearly. Spending time outside whether on your feet or on your bikes help to lift your moods and takes your mind away from your everyday worry.
True talk. As we age, our immune systems get weaker and open us up to all sorts of infections.
I pray that your doctor will come up with a medical plan that will arrest the skin cancer in its track.
