This is a difficult post to write and hope I am not breaching any WA rules with this post. I would really appreciate some sound actions as to what I can do - and seek justice.

I found recently someone has used my photo I took of myself, my hubby and a friend and has been used to set up a bogus Facebook profile for the sole purpose to bully and abuse our friend who appears in my photo with us - what can we do?

https://www.facebook.com/The-Help-Chrissy-Group-an...

The following is my website and my article about Kiwi Cruising and Charity cruising which are 2 of my passions this photo I believe was copied from here http://kiwicruiser.com/charity-cruising

The creator of the Facebook page is ranting on making defamatory accusations about our friend who is an elderly woman who has been working tirelessly helping poor sick people in the developing nation of Vanuatu The Help Chrissy Group is a Rotary (Australia) Project approved by Rotary Australia, Ministry of Health, and Ministry of Education. Projects include rebuilding schools, hospitals and clinics throughout Vanuatu Islands, including the remote Islands and communities, following the devastation that Cyclone Pam unleashed in 2015.

Update: - I did report to Facebook as advised this is their response

We reviewed your report of The Help Chrissy Group and some uknown truths about Chrissy.

Thank you for taking the time to report something that you feel may violate our Community Standards. Reports like yours are an important part of making Facebook a safe and welcoming environment. We reviewed the Page you reported for harassment and found it doesn't violate our Community Standards.

Now what? any recommendations - So what I get from Facebook is that I (who does not know any of you personally) could go copy any of your photos use them to create any questionable group or community with the sole purpose and intent to destroy a lifetime career of your personal and professional business (in this case) philanthropic work.

This is NOT a violation of our community standards??? worse still there is no right of reply that I can find

... final Update (I hope) - that it may appear that enough the page was reported enough for 'someone' to remove the page as it not appearing this afternoon- Thank goodness for that but I have not yet received any official notification from Facebook.

Facebook normally only react if they get several report about the same page, so try to get as many friends as you can to report it. That way it's a better chance FB will act on it.

Thanks for the Tip - Yes of course I have already reported to Facebook but worried that no real action will be taken

FB get a lot of reports every day, so , of course, the have robots deal with most of them. But if they get a lot of reports it's sent to a human. That's when things starts happening.......

You will need to report this to facebook, that must have been a shock

Definitely report to Facebook.

Try this page on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/communitystandards

Think its been covered in a nutshell below. Good luck.

Facebook takes a strong stance against this kind of thing. Report it directly to them.

Contact Facebook and report it and see what they want you to do next. Dave

Contact Facebook directly, I think that they will take swift action with regard to your situation.

Yes - you really do need to involve Facebook in this....

Contact Facebook and report them
