Growth Requires a Shift

Every so often, I receive an email from a yoga instructor I studied with, albeit online, where she had a 30 – day beginners yoga class. At that time, the class was exactly what I needed.

In her emails, she shares her journey about her yoga, and where she’s been, where she is headed, the ups and downs of life, her family and about her dog.

This quote is from one of her emails.

Growth is something we all want, yet sometimes we shy away from the changes growth can bring.

The one thing I’ve learned in life, is that without change, everything remains stagnant. We become complacent in our lives, and our little world becomes even smaller; we leave no room for anything new to come in, and we suffocate ourselves by remaining in that same place, convinced that it’s ‘all your fault’.

And that is okay, my friends.

We all have our own ways to process the events thrown at us., especially our own journey through life.

Growth can be a challenge until it’s not. That is why I like this quote so much, it resonates with me.

Growth requires a willingness to SHIFT.

You need to be willing to let go of the old and embrace the new. I don’t mean you toss away the old, store it somewhere else, compartmentalize.

Defrag your brain, clear out the old, so there is room for the new.

And watch out because when the new finds its way in, it will stream in with supersonic speed.

You must be willing to let go and accept what the changes will bring.

Willingness is the key.

That means to let go of whatever you are holding onto and move forward.

As easy as that sounds on paper, it is not that easy to change when you aren’t the one calling the shots. Often, change is thrust upon us when we least expect it, and we don’t always greet the new with open arms, do we?

Here we are at Wealthy Affiliate.

The path we took to get here isn’t important, some of us may have been desperate to find some way to make an income, or we were wanting to learn how to monetize an already existing website, or as a business professional, looking for way to implement new ideas or even as a reason to escape the corporate life and use your talents elsewhere.

The reason why we stay is vital, and that depends on our willingness to grow.

Sure, some of us come here with preconceived ideas, and end up frustrated and maybe even throw in the towel.

And others, realize that they mis-stepped, and choice to start over fresh. They had new eyes from which to see better.

That has a lot to do with willingness.

To be Willing to Let Go.

The willingness to accept that your way is not working.

The willingness to try something new.

With willingness, your life will change for the better, however, not always in the ways you think they will, or the ways you want them to change. The changes will occur the way they are meant to be.

To grow as affiliate marketers, we must be willing to SHIFT.

I tried to come up with words to make SHIFT an anagram. I could not, maybe I wasn’t in the right mind set, oh well.
