We Can No Longer Create Training
So, I have seen a few people wondering why the option to create training has disappeared.
As you may be aware, previously, those who had been Premium/Premium Plus for at least 3 months, could create training for other members and potentially get paid for it.
That option has now been removed, and Kyle has confirmed "We are moving away from all text-based training, and we may open it up in the near future again."
And, "For the time being though it is just going to be in the form of vlogs, and classes which are exclusive to a handful of people, but in the future you can expect this to potentially be opened up to a wider subset of folks here within WA."
(You can see this response from Kyle on his profile page, in answer to a question.)
I am not aware of what will happen to our previous training, and whether we will continue to be paid for it, as it moves through the different levels.
Thanks for reading.

I already saw that, and I wondered why. Thanks for sharing this information. Vblogs are effective. I think they're far better than text-based training. They're shorter and less time-consuming. Besides, five bucks isn't worth it. For now, vblogs are only available for the Super Affiliates members. That's it. As Kyle stated maybe it will be "opened up to a wider subset of folks here within WA." However, that is a little vague. I guess we have to wait and see.
Hi Diane
Yeah, I saw that.
I believe that video is the best way to convey information in the majority of cases. WA is moving more toward short "bite-size" vlogs that deal with more focused (longer tail) concepts within a broader topic. Most people find learning that way easier and more enjoyable. Also, you don't have to "wade through" lots of info in a longer video to find exactly what you're looking for.
I'm usually just the opposite. I like to learn as much as possible on any particular topic in a single session, which I find more efficient. I don't mind sitting for several hours reading or watching a video at home with music in the background or a guitar in my hands or both. Lol 😎
Rock On! 🤘

I really disagree! In many cases, I prefer the blog.
Both because it is easier to get the core of the training (instead of talking about the last movie between videos) and because I am seriously having some problems listening to some people talk.
That is really not personal. Their style is just so different in a negative way from what I am used to that some, not many, though, it out for me. But I had seen them writing it, and that was to the point all the way!
Too, it is very bad not to see the great training from Diane and probably more people. It is quicker to write up the people that are good and, in many cases, outstanding rather than take all out and take long to select.
Because I agree, too, that a lot of training was bad, but that made it easier to find the gurus.
And videos are not for all to make!
Hi Johann
I'm not really sure what you're disagreeing with. It's true that quality matters in all things, including written content and video.
Blogging is becoming a thing of the past. We can see that in the newer generations. They generally favor AI, video, social channels, and user-generated content (web 2.0) sites over the more traditional informational content of blogs, not necessarily in that order.
Ranking in the SERPS is moving more toward video. It won't be long before more top-ranking videos will be made using AI. AI-generated content from tech like Google SGE and Bing CoPilot is providing succinct answers to specific (long-tail) questions with more and more accuracy and precision. Blog-based sites with a high-DA and a very well-established brand are still a viable option. Parasite SEO won't last forever.
Then, there's virtual and augmented reality on the horizon. Headsets that can be worn for long periods of time and perform well in a mobile environment will change how people use the internet again and probably require a whole different type of World Wide Web. That will eventually lead to the development of neural implants that connect hives of people and possibly other animals together.
Just my opinion, but exciting times lie ahead! 😎

Yeah, I was wondering about that as well re our past trainings.
Will the training continue to be accessible or be removed?
Thanks foe posting this, Diane.

Interesting, as I didn't realize you could get paid for training. Bummer. I'm not there yet, lol, nor am I video-ready. Maybe in another year or so...
Thanks for the info, Diane.

I had created 57 text-based training courses, most of which made it into the top 10 at the time.
I believe that some people found them useful.
Do I care that I can no longer do that? Not really.
WA admin has every right to evolve the platform in the direction they believe in.
Further, if this is what you want to, you can create a blog, YouTube channel, etc to do this.
I'm actually in the process of creating (video and text-based) paid training being hosted on my own websites.
Yup! When life gives you lemons...
Rather than use our old legacy training platform, you can use your blogs here at WA to offer training, tips, strategies etc. Blog posts are on our NEW platform and are easily found in the search when people look for relevant info!
So, just use the BLOG platform instead!
True but as Diane pointed out it's not monetizable anymore. So there is no incentive for serious trainers to use it. On the other hand, I have to say I like the concept of 3-5 short vlogs a week along with the training. For one thing, it's more democratic; gives the folks who are free some peaks at what the training is like. For another, a lot of us get busy and having a 5 minute "here is how to do x" is helpful.
You are correct, there is no monetization of training any longer and this is due to the wide amount of low quality training offered. Many members offered great training and earned a few dollars for that, but many more members created duplicate, non relevant, and outdated training that misleads people...and they did so with the sole purpose of earning.
Those within the platform that are offering training are those that we trust, know, and have had lengthy in-person discussions with about offering training. Vlogging is something that's been EXTREMELY valuable and it's something that allows us to deliver bite-sized bits of information to compliment the main training that we have in the platform.
On benefit to Vlogging, or blogging, is that you can answer specific questions and offer a tremendous value in doing so within just a short post or a blog.
Anyone that would like to contribute to the platform and answer a question or offer training on how to do something, is more than welcome via the Blogging platform here in WA.
Asking a question via a BLOG is also a great way to contribute to the platform. Ask a question in your Blog title related to building an online business, and you'll get all kinds of answers from many experienced members - this will help others who have the same questions when they do a search!
OK. Thanks.
Thanks Carson,it truth ,also here at karuduc and Kagando school of nursing which is transformed to university is look for affiliate tutors or lecturer
So members your highly welcome to the Rwenzoris
Hi Carson - can you please advise me as to how I can delete my training, including a draft that has never been published?
There doesn't seem to be an option to be able to do this.
Thank you.
