I want to move my review posts to the tab for that purpose and have forgotten how to do that, can anyone assist?

You can hover over posts and click categories.

Create as many categories as you like; don't forget to add the slug.

Then, you can head to Appearance > Menus, and provided you create a menu first, you can start adding those categories.

Then, you can head to your posts and assign them to their respective categories. You can assign a post to more than one category.

So, when folks click on a specific category, they can see all related posts.

Wonderful thank you :))

I've attached a screenshot, reviews is not coming up for me as a category. I want to put my reviews in the tab named that. Currently they are all in the together with the all of my posts.

Your reviews are most likely a custom link - I noticed you have linked your no.1 recommendation to your affiliate ID here at WA; you had a review link on the score but nothing on the 'good' or 'bad' -

Then I would change the custom link to display a category vs a custom link (what is current)

Abie

Thank you Abie :))

You are more than welcome, Amanda!

Abie

If You are talking asking about moving post to page etc then Abie turned me on to this widget Post Type Switcher

You will need to create categories that relate to your niche.
Posts will automatically go to the blog or home page depending on how you set it up.
Then you can create categories and link you post to that.

In your case you can create a main category called reviews. Then go to all posts and click quick edit there you can tick the box for that particular category your want your post to go to.

Don't forget to save.

Here are some blogs on that

Wonderful many thanks for the links and instructions :)

Most welcome Amanda you will enjoy Eric's guidance

Thank you, I've realised that perhaps it's not a category that I'm after when I watched the video. Yes, they are very good and I've learned other things when watching them. I'll keep searching to understand this. Many thanks for your help!

Well at least you learned something new.
If you look at the top menu here those are categories which are on the main menu anything you see when you click or hover on those with a down arrow are sub categories perhaps that is what you may be thinking.

Thanks I'll gove that a go. O e thing for sure with community help I always work it out 😀

Great to hear enjoy

Hi AmandaEKerr,

I do not really understand your question.

But, I came across a video post by one of the great teachers here on WA (Eric). I do not know if it'll be of help, though.

Here is the link I wish you a nice day.

Thanks Makinde! I think you did understand the question, thanks for taking the time to send me a link :))

You are welcome, AmandaEKerr.

I'm glad I did that now. I was initially confused about the question, because I'm not an expert.

I hope the issue is resolved now?

Thank you.

Email Marketing

I don't have Name and Email fields near my Comments section at the bottom of a post, forgive my ignorance but I'm not sure where to start - is there an overview on this? I did

Twenty-two webinars in total :)

Terrific Abie many thanks :)

Np and you're welcome :)

I have a number of lessons on building an email list, Amanda and can direct you to them. But you need a purpose for doing it and that purpose has to direct the email series you send to them. Talk to me about what you want to achieve.

Hi Phil thanks for your reply.

Firstly I want new blogs to be sent out to anyone who follows me so a CTA (i've been doing some reading since I wrote this question) something like "Leave your details to follow my adventures from catamarans to campervans and everything in between"

When they do that is that building an email list? Or do I have that confused?

Monetizing is the ultimate aim - it seems there are several ways to do this and I'm yet to sign up for CY which we spoke about before, I've been on to posting and watching lessons. Unlike you I don't have a background in IT so I want to understand what I can do that I feel comfortable with.

So I'd like to create a roadmap for myself in a direction to head in. I note you were writing books, I'd be happier with reviews on products I use like or not like with an affiliate link. I have links in my posts however they only thing I'm advertising is WA, nothing else is linked to making money.

Does that make sense? I'm basically looking for a plan and there seem so many options that I'm keen to understand how. How can I keep it simple?

Hi Amanda,

If you're talking about blogs posted here at WA, then anyone who follows you will be advised by WA that you've posted a new blog, unless they've opted out. However, they won't be taken anywhere else. They will be able to comment on that post. That's all.

If you're talking about blogs posted on your website, there is no automatic advice to your followers.

To build a list, you need a form linked to an autoresponder such as AWeber or GetResponse. I use ActiveCampaign but it's more expensive and a bit more complex. That form contains your CTA and would normally give away a lead magnet to encourage visitors to fill in their name and email address.

If you'd like to see how this works in practice, check out the websites listed on my profile and go to the Happy, Fit and Free one. Under Free Stuff, sign up for the free book. Everything that you see from there is automated.

Many thanks for your detail Phil that certainly helps.

Have a great day

Thanks, Amanda. The more you do, the clearer it will all become.

Hello All, I was looking for a good allrounder affiliate website for camping, travel and clothing and I thought I'd found it in CJ. However it was complex to add your account

You have FANTASTIC responses here; kindly let us know if you require additional assistance.

Yes indeed Abie I agree! I am delighted with the info that has been generously shared :)

Awesomely good, Amanda :) I am super happy for you.

Hi Amanda your location shouldn't an issue for commission junction but I have personally had issues joining them in the past and can totally relate to the complexity of the sign up process. If they didn't accept you currently, a good plan B would be AWIN which you can contact Jeanine here for if they don't accept you (Jeanine is one of AWIN's associates and she can help you get in if they don't initially approve your application).

Above all else what's important to focus on is building up your site with traffic FIRST before signing up with affiliate networks.

Thanks Vitaliy, I'll follow that advice - it was during a lesson about affiliate links that I went to join and set up links so I was following through.

I've started the HUB training and haven't yet seen any information about building up my site with traffic - can you send over a link that points me to this? I've been creating posts and working on getting my site set up so far.

You may recall I started at the Bootcamp and I think the other training had areas I haven't yet covered. Plus I haven't been active over the festive month unfortunately - too much Christmas stuff and family to deal with, I'm back again!

Hi Amanda there is new hubs training coming to the platform soon, 20 lessons.

Great news thank you 😄

I'm an Aussie who is a member of both CJ and ClickBank. I don't recall any issues with joining either.

If you could be more specific about the problems you're encountering, perhaps I could help.

Hi Phil thanks for your reply, when I was at the part to put my banking details in there was nothing familiar to me to select to move forward on CJ.

I joined up with ClickBank as I was setting up my website and they declined my membership as I did not have my website built out enough, I see in comments elsewhere that others have experience this too. I will try again after I've done more work on building up my site with traffic. Something I'm not sure I've covered yet in the training.

Check out Payoneer. It allows you to open a US bank account that you can have your commissions paid into and then transfer to an Australian account.

Also, do you have a PayPal account? It's worth getting one. Although CJ don't have PayPal as an option, many others do,

Super Phil thanks for the tips, most valuable. Yes I have a PayPal account and noticed CJ didn't, I'll give Payoneer a go.
Happy Tuesday to you, I'm off to Langkawi to live on a catamaran for a while - I love this portable business!

Living on a catamaran sounds cool, Amanda. Enjoy!

New Hub question - how do I change my niche in the hub?

Also, to delete a siterubix subdomain | or dot com if applicable, click details on the subdomain in the site manager, move onward to the next page, scroll to the bottom, and click delete.

Great thanks Abbie for both, most appreciated

You're welcome :)

Delete and start again.

When you go to your hub on the right side you will see three dots. click that and you can delete your hub and create a new one and add your niche there.

Note deleting hub doesn't delete your website.

Thanks Apache looks like I'll be creating a new Hub :(

Yes its worth remembering that the hub and website work independently thank you :)

Great to hear and when you click the dots it also tells you the website won't be deleted

Hi Amanda. You can head here: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/hubs/ then either:

Click create new Hub.
You can also delete your existing one and make a brand new one with the desired niche you want.

Thank you Vitaliy I was hoping I could edit the existing niche without creating a completely new one, doesn't sound like it.

I appreciate your help :)

Well if it's a siterubix website you can transfer it to a different name domain.

You can also edit it too from the inside but if it's a question of changing the niche, I'd just make a new one.
