From crippling social anxiety to speaking live in front of thousands!
What's going on WA fam?
So like ive been here for over 4 yearsl, albeit I haven't been that active within this platform (other than hosting my sites).
But so much has happened in that time period.
Like affiliate marketing and writing/blogging is where I wanted to start from (hence I joined WA) because writing was my strong point and it came naturally.
However, if i'm being honest, it never worked.
And the reason it didn't work, is because I was never stretched, nor out of my comfort zone initially.
Back then, i'd set up anonymous accounts, and work under pseudonyms. Mainly because of my social anxiety and fear of putting myelf out there.
But things didn't start moving until I decided to take on my fears.
It took a lot of effort, but first I started out by blogging and writing articles as the real me, and about real stuff in life.
Good step forward, but I was still using my strong point (writing) and hiding from my weak point: speaking.
So I went on this massive personal development drive, and tackling my fear of speaking was high on the list.
It was painful. It was hard. It was uncomfortable.
But I started making videos online. And they were rubbish!
But last year I publicly stated I will conquer my fear of speaking by giving a talk in front of a large audience in the future.
Although my intention was an in-person presentation, that didnt happen due to covid.
What did happen instead was, me speaking to GaryVee live in front of hundreds and thousands on TeaWithGaryVee.
I was absolutely bricking it. But I did it.
My videos, and speech on camera are a lot better.
I've even started a podcast - interviewed some amazing people...and I absolutely LOVE IT!
The point i'm trying to make is...especially for those of you struggling...it's been a long road.
It gets discouraging when you see other people get success and quickly.
My online success hasn't been quick. And in fact, if we solely talk about monetisation as the only metric of success, then I still haven't achieved that...and we're going on 4 years.
However, in terms of self-improvement & personal development, the success has been massive.
My confidence has rocketed. As has my self-esteem. My social anxiety is practically extinct (it used to be so bad I used to panic making a call to the doctor for an appointment).
And it only came about AFTER I decided to take the hard path, to take on my fears.
So if you're struggling right now, look to see what exactly you're resisting.
Look to see what you're avoiding.
Look to see what you're afraid of.
Then go out and do that thing.
I've now decided that my mission will be to help other people who struggle with confidence, self-esteem, social anxiety get over it by getting confident on camera and building their online presence and business.
So here's where I need your help WA family:
I need to figure out 2 things before I go all in
1. Will I enjoy this type of coaching.
2. More importantly, can I help people get results.
Therefore, i'm looking to coach a small handful of people to get confident on camera & build their online presence.
If this is something you need help with then hit me up...the coaching will be for 7 days, and will be free.
All I ask is that you take it seriously, do the daily tasks (one video recorded everyday); and ONLY IF you get results, drop me a testimonial/case study.
Regardless...the main point of this article stands:
Whatever situation you're in, go do the hard things, tackle your fears...and I promise that is where you will find success.
Have an awesome day.

This is so inspiring...
and the story of most of us...
fear paralyses many...
and once conquered, we can step forward indeed...
for some it is almost an highway
and for others a long turbulent path
Thank you for sharing!

So true. Think it’s so easy to get lost and down seeing others succeed, but it’s important to remember, your own path is different and yours to take.
I like what you said about success and I wish more people will understand that. Knowledge and self improvement are two that we should consider more when measuring success!
And I think we've done well, congrats!
