It's a Numbers Game.
Pass The Number if Your Game.
It is going back a few years now, probably more than I would like to remember, but I still remember 35:4:1.
That was my mantra, that was my livelihood, those were my figures, that was what drove my car, built my house close to the sea and put food on my plate.
Bundeena in The Royal National Park. my house was below the V shape made by the trees.
Those figures were the essence of me for 6 years and had me earning a lot of money and drove me along with a group of others to shut most of everything else in life out.
Luckily I got out of the rat race, but it did teach me the value of recording and tracking my work tasks. And it did teach me that persistency is one of the great forces behind being successful or not.
My 35 were the number of phone calls I had to make to get 4 appointments. And those 4 appointments were the number of appointments to make 1 sale.
Do you think we are in a similar industry?
I am now putting my head down again and am aiming for 500 posts for each of my websites. And I see that once I have 500 posts there are more chances of getting readers who will sign up or purchase something.
Simplistic, yes and no. Just like my 35 phone calls, I had to be good with my script to get the appointments and good with my appointments to make a sale.
The same with our posts. We have to be great with our content to capture our readers attention and we have to think about SEO and be creative in our advertising.
With all the tools available to us we only need to be persistent and apply what we learn.
This is a very simple blog with a very simple message that we sometimes tend to forget. Just keep on keeping on my WA friends.
Zoopie.

But, it sounds as if they worked well for you and that's all that matters!
500 posts per website is not an insignificant amount and a great start my friend, but... the work is never ending as we both know buddy!!
All the very best!!

Hi Stephen,
I like your numbers. One of the reasons I learned about the benefits of writing a lot of content is it only takes one or two highly successful posts to drive our business upwards. The problem is we cannot predict which posts will define our turning point.
So, it is a numbers game to increase the odds of writing those few posts that will attract a lot of traffic and sales.
Cheers.
Edwin
You got it in one. We donāt know which posts are the ones that ā take offā, so we need to keep on writing and posting.
