Can you Change?
Remember...
Do you recall the Kodak company? Kodak employed roughly 160,000 people in 1997.
And Kodak cameras were used in about 85% of all photography projects worldwide. Since mobile cameras have become more popular in recent years, Kodak Camera Company has exited the market.
Kodak declared bankruptcy and let go of every employee.
Nokia was another company that was riding high. Now none of the younger generation even know who they were.
The Next 10 Years
You probably don't consider how dramatically the world could change in the next ten years when you're standing here right now!
In the next ten years, the 70%–90% of jobs that exist today will completely disappear.
Let's Look into a couple of well-known businesses; Uber is merely a software brand. No, they do not own any cars. However, UBER is currently the biggest taxi firm in the world.
The biggest hotel chain in the world right now is called Airbnb. The odd thing is, though, that they don't own a single hotel worldwide.
There is a new legal software program called IBM Watson, and it can advocate much better than any new lawyer. Thus, I believe almost 90% of American lawyers will not have any jobs in the next 10 years.
There is also a Doctor in town that detect cancer and other diseases 4 times more accurately than humans. What do you think will happen to Doctors. Some AI robots are now performing surgery better and faster than humans, this is happening now.
Cars are changing, we now have driverless cars and if you look up China tech, they are well ahead of us.
Cash is king...but for how much longer. This will discriminate against the poor who possibly do not and can not get a bank account or a line of credit.
And it is predicted computer intelligence will surpass human intelligence by 2030. That is only 6 years, and I think it will be faster than that. I think it will be 2 years.
We are all up for a lot of CHANGE. Are you ready for it, what can you do. The only thing I do see is those who are the best at what they do will have a job.
So keep writing the best content you can and, move with the times, as best you can.

Yes, you are right -- the world is built from changes. Learning to roll with the punches and to add the new changes into the old is vital. I'm living proof -- here I am at 86 learning to use AI on my website. Who knows what's coming next? It's fascinating just to watch the world evolve.
The change in the world is amazing to watch. I am at times amazed and at times appalled, but never bored.
Stevoi
Fran good on you, I knew you were senior but didn't realize you were an octogenarian. Adapting to change keeps you young
Never!!!!! I didn't for one minute imagine that you were 86.
There's hope for us all, and no excuses not to learn new things.
I'm well impressed.

Well, it's created a challenge for me. I have to stay alive until the memoir is completed and have lived a long life. So far, so good!
Sometimes the things you can’t remember are best forgotten.
Can’t wait to read the memoir .
Stevoi
I know what you mean Fran. I can remember technical details, I can instantly recall exactly which page number to look up in the Wiring Regulations. Show me or tell me a number once and its locked in.
But tell me your name and I've forgotten it before I've written it down.
Take care Lucy

Good morning Stephen,
That's an interesting blog post with some fascinating facts!
I didn't know about Kodak, although I do know that everyone used to have a Kodak camera, or almost everyone! It's hard to imagine the old-fashioned type of film, you really had to think about if you want to take that picture or not!
Nokia is another company that really surprised me. People loved the simplicity of Nokia phones and yet they fell so quickly from the top!
I don't want to get to political on the platform, as it's not appropriate, but we do need to make a stand to keep cash. But there is an agenda going on behind the scenes, although there may be someone soon you can put a wedge in the door, if they are still alive!
I believe we have to keep moving forward and take advantage of the technologies that are available to us, but to carry on being our unique selves.
Have a great day.
Roy
Things are moving fast and I totally agree on the cash stance.
The opposite is just an excuse for tracking. Also it will severely impact the poor amongst us. Imagine living in a society where you can’t pay for anything because you can not get any “plastic “
And the maple flag bosses are amongst the worst.
As you can probably tell, this is a real sore point with me.
Places like Vietnam, a communist country, has more basic freedom than most supposed democr…..
Ahhh enough from me.. lol..my blood pressure is rising.
Stevoi
I think we are probably on the same wavelength, Steve, but I guess this may not be the place to discuss the subject! But I do know where you're coming from, especially the Maple flag and his friend across the water from the UK!
I always remember a Nigerian lady saying to me, in Nigeria, we have corruption, but in the UK, you have legalised corruption! I don't know much about Vietnam, Steve, but I really can genuinely believe that.
Just round off my comment; I didn't go with the Covid narrative whatsoever, I could see through it! Just remember all the treatments were 💯 safe!!
All the best.
Roy
Hey Stevoi
You speak the truth! When I was in school, we didn't even have computer classes and the internet....what? Now look at us!
Changes are coming, but they also always have. My grandmother was born in 1896, can you imagine the changes she witnessed in her 87 years?
And you're right, we have to adapt as best we can!

Thanks Tim
Love the musical signature. Music is the doorway, and the right “hertz” stops the hurts.

Hi Steve
Yeah, I think the changes ahead will be astounding, for better or worse!
Luckily, I am almost fully retired from my medical career. Lol 😆
When AI surpasses human intelligence, the only thing it will need is robotic bodies (hopefully, not weaponized!) to become the most dominant force on Earth.
Interesting times ahead! 😎
Rock On! 🤘

I’m waiting to chuck my brain into a robot…call me Stavros…lol..
Inseminate…inseam…woops meant to be eliminate..lol
Stevoi
Hahaha, Stavros - I love it! 👍👍💯
I know this guy and his 1960 Daleks! 🤖 🦾 🦿
He has tried to take over the ARM-based system in my Mac to develop his own evil brand of "Davros AI" and use it to create mind-altering guitar sounds to "Eliminate" anyone still listening to Grunge music! Lol
Yeah, it's true; Davros and his Daleks have "vintage cool," but in a bit of a persistently annoying kind of way. Just this morning, I caught them messing with my Masterbuilt Custom Shop '54 Strat!
Sometimes, I wish they'd all just fade away! Lol 🤣
Fravros 🤘🎸

Remember Rank Xerox they spent millions of dollars annually on innovation, including creating the Xerox Palo Alto Research Center (PARC), a hub of technological breakthroughs.
Xerox PARC played a pivotal role in the development of many modern technologies, such as:
The graphical user interface (GUI) later influenced personal computers like Apple’s Macintosh.
Ethernet networking.
The laser printer.
Object-oriented programming.
They patented none of it and most of it was stolen by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Bill Gates amongst others
Yup, innovators get taken out.
Steve
I didn't know that Catherine, that is really interesting. I suppose this happens at all levels of life. I'm going to YT some of those.
Thanks.
