Lessons From Our 1st Mastermind Class
As some of you may know I'm fortunate to be part of a select group of wealthy affiliate members who are part of Bo's mentoring group of students.
Our group name is WA Gogetters, which suggests in my mind that if we are to be successful we need to be committed to being proactive.
The name also suggests to me that we need to go through this process with an attitude of excitement and positive energy which I'm happy to say, exists in our group.
So What Is The Purpose Of Our Group
The purpose is 2 fold:
- We are to be mentored until we are making at least US$1000 per month profit on a consistent basis from our online businesses in 1 year or less.
- Once we've achieved the 1st objective we have the choice to pay it forward by teaching others to do the same
I'm sure you will agree that the 16 of us who are part of this group are very fortunate to be part of this program indeed.
What Disciplines Are Required To Be Part Of A Group Like This
If you hope to ever have the opportunity to be mentored by a highly successful internet market it goes without say that you will need to demonstrate certain disciplines.
Bo is investing his time and intellectual resources which are invaluable, so the least we can do is to commit to the following:
- Spend at least 20 hours a week on your business. This is no longer a hobbie but a business and we need to treat it as such.
- Create a written time schedule of your business activities and report this to our mentor. How we schedule the 20 hour a week is completely up to the individual.
- Check in on the Skype group at least twice a day. Once in the morning and once in the evening. This is an important part of holding ourselves accountable
- Access the assignments and complete them when they are due
- Support other group members
- Commit to attending a live webinar once a week for at least 1 hour
These are the disciplines we have committed to as individuals in the group.
What Are Some Of The Tactics That Lead To A Successful Online Business
- List building. In due course we will be learning how to build an email list effectively. Building a list allows you to control your income. On average every email that is on your list is worth 0.25c in revenue
- Social media marketing. Marketing on social media is one of the best methods to generate free traffic
- Focus on your Unique Selling Point (USP). Don't worry about the competition, instead focus on being you.
- Create effective content by:
- 1. Stating the problem that you are addressing
- 2. Stating the solution to the problem
- 3. Stating the benefit for the audience (what's in it for them)
- 4. A clear call to action (CTA)
- Monetize your blog in a congruent manner. Your content and the offer you're promoting need to relevant and speak to each other
There are other tactics that we discussed including how to market wealthy affiliate and how to set up the "about page" effectively on our blogs, but these are the main tactics I feel to share that we discussed in our training.
Conclusion
Needless to say I'm very excited to be part of this group I've already start seeing results within the 1st day of implementing the training as I received my 1st wealthy affiliate referral. Pretty awesome:)

Wow, another lucky member of Bo's chosen. I thought there were less people that were chosen but I may have misread. I've only seen three so far and you say sixteen,good for you guys.
