Confused!?!?
I am in a bit of a niche muddle!
I went through the training and managed to set up a website using WP. Now that I have chosen a niche, I am not certain if it's the right niche to be able to bring traffic that will generate a revenue. I have many interest but I am not sure if I choose a particular niche, how to market a product relating to that niche!?
For example, lets say I chose a niche which is something that interests me. How do I then earn from posting on my site? Do I need to search for products relating to my niche and advertise their business on my site? Or is there a website that has a search facility for companies that need affiliate marketers that I can find the relevant niche?
Am I looking too much into this!? Am I at a "too early stage" to be thinking like that or maybe I need the Premium membership to fill the missing pieces of the puzzle!?
I am really eager in making this happen with what I am learning here at WA. I am overwhelmed by the atmosphere and the vibe at WA! I have not seen anything like it! This is also my first ever blog!! :) I am learning so much here and it's all thanks to Kyle, Carlson and of course Ian Pribs who recommended WA to me.
I hope I can find something that will inspire me that will keep me motivated to stick at this. I believe that it's possible to be successful by what I have read on blogs and member's stories. I am determined to make it and appreciate all the help I get :)
Thanks for reading and best wishes to everyone :)

Thanks Amr for listing the same problems i have also like you, I think by time and more practicing we will get over these problem within this great helpful community.
Good Luck!
I totally agree with you.. Patience is beautiful!
Best wishes to you for the future and God willing we'll do well!
Hello There, Take it one step at a time.. Your on the right track. By saying you sat down and made a list is the best place to start. Figure out what your true passion is. Then go from there, Then work on building it.. Always remember this though never worry about asking a dumb question in live chat. Everyone has been there or is there and will help in anyway they can. Also if you can I would join Premium and keep up with the lessons and training's..
I do know this much from what I have learnt online so far with my website travels with online marketing.
I use Clickbank to look for affiliate products and I do a search in Google for the keywords 'affiliate programs" and adding your niche word. For example: "Migraines Affiliate Programs"
To make money, you would then put a few banners or basically refer people in your blog post by cloaking the affiliate link.
That is one way to make a money, but they say the money is really to be found into building a list and to establish a relationship or connection with your list subscribers. For this, you would need a squeeze form on your site and an auto-responder such as Get Response or Aweber.
If you don't know what to write for content for your site, do a google search for Private Label Rights on your niche. For example: PLR articles on migraines. You can't copy word by word what they are saying, but you can use parts here and there and make your own version.
I know this might be information overload, but I hope it helps in some way.
That's actually really really good advice. I've been doing the PLR articles myself and just making sure I write it in my own words. Either that or you can definitely do a google search for your topic, read what others have written and write your own version. PLR's cost money, doing a Google search is free ;) (Not knocking what @Romeo2076 said, just adding to it)
Thanks! There are some free PLR articles or you can always visit Ezine or Street Articles for motivation or other websites via your niche search. You could even do a search for Public domain articles for motivation too!
Thanks guys.. This is giving me more ideas to where I can get access to more content! I will sure check them out!
All the best now :)
Hi there, congrats on doing your first blog - this is a huge step forward. Don't worry too much about the niche muddle -it will resolve itself. Now that you have done your first blog perhaps just think about what you can easily write about in a niche - what comes to mind, what is your passion or theme that you would really like to write about.
Hope this helps,
Regards
Hudson
Thanks Hudson for your encouragement comments. I will try my best to write something regularly.
Hi Hudson.. thanks for your message and encouragement. That's what I started to do from last night. I'm sat with wife and decided to write a list of what I like and interests me.. Obviously you have to choose something that you really like as you wont enjoy doing this otherwise!
Step by step in the right direction along with patience and perseverance, will eventually lead to success!
Hopefully I'll be posting my second blog soon.. so watch this space!! :)
Best regards
Amr
Congrats on your first BLOG!!! Nice. Glad you asked those questions. The comments should be amazing.
Hi, I would check out if Amazon has a product that your niche is about. If you do find a product, you can join their affiliate program. However, if you may get rejected if your state is on their list to exclude online marketers from joining. Here is a number you can call to find out: 1-800-372-8066. Good luck!
Dear Zakki,
You are new to this Affiliate/Internet mktg stuff. That's you feel confusion.
Let me help to clear your confusion.
First, you need to Watch the Vedio "How WA works".
Then you read "Getting Started" lessons on the "most confusing" internet marketing, SEO, Website building, traffic etc.
Don't be Panic. All the lessons are Very easy to Understand for even "School going" student. If you complete these things, I am very sure, your "confusion" will become a "Past issue"!! Go TAKE Action NOW!!!!
The best thing to do is look at an affiliate company like Amazon. Search for ideas of interest and you will notice what products you can incorporate into your niche. By joining an Affiliate Company like amazon and placing their links on your website - converting these links into sales is how you generate revenue.
Yes, too early stage. Be first concerned about how to get traffic coming to your sites using links, keywords, content, etc...
Sure, traffic will come and go and you won't have sold anything, and you won't even have anything up for sale if someone was desperate to buy.
No worries.
Once you learn AND realize how to gain traffic, THEN you will start learn how to convert that traffic.
Stick with the niche you've selected.
Generate traffic.
Learn how to understand if you are getting traffic, and how much.
Then hit up on these other questions again.
I am not concerned if I will sell or not yet, my concern is 'what' to sell!? I don't know if I go with what I have chosen for my niche, even if it's bringing traffic in, whether I will actually find something to sell on that page! It's a bit confusing to explain! lol
I don't know if you understand where I'm coming from or not. Let's say I can drive traffic with the content on my page, then what? ow can I use the opportunity of these visits into earning a revenue out of it? What products do I then advertise? and where from!? You know what I mean?
I need to have chosen a niche that will enable me to have a product/service to offer the visitors later after I manage to bring a good number of traffic to my page.
Many thanks for your helpful response.
Ok, in response to your reply: good.
Yours is a good question, and it will have its time and place.
How about think of it this way.
Instead of 'let's say' you can drive traffic, be honest and ask yourself if you are ALREADY driving traffic and proficient at it.
If you are not, then skip the hypothetical question, and make sure you are actually getting traffic as you develop your first niche and website.
It doesn't matter if you can monetize that first attempt. Just make sure you complete the process of understanding what to do, and are in the habit of doing it regularly.
After that, you can create a second website (free at WA at the non-premium level) and then ask your question: it will be important then because you will have the confidence. The hypothetical situation will not give you confidence.
After you start getting regular traffic, and Google search rankings, and understand the process of doing so. Then you will either look for and find affiliate programs to promote on your site.
OR,
You will start over with that second site, (and possibly scrap your first site and pick a third niche more relevant to monetization)
After learning traffic and rankings, you will be able to process those additional websites and niches much more efficiently.
Premium membership is a good thing, because it gives you access to additional certification courses; in fact the 4th one is coming out on the 19th according to schedule (today I think)
And those courses will put all this in perspective, and you will see that finding appropriate products to affiliate with your niche and efforts is a matter of looking through the sites such as Clickbank, Commision junction, etc...and will see how to 'match' your affiliations and their products with your interests and niches.
Then you put that together with the traffic and ranking.
It is a slow process first time around, and while it may seem like it's worth answering the question of money first, the entire training program has been revised to deemphasize the money aspect, and focus on understanding traffic and rankings.
Does that answer your question?
Prioritize traffic and rankings, and you can start up as many websites as you like (for free with premium membership) and paint the town red reproducing on new sites with the process you learn from the first, no matter how un-money the first site is.
In fact, maybe ASSUME your first site will never see a single dime of profit. It is a learning tool.
Use it to learn.
