It is not clear how to differentiate between a page and a category. To me they look the same

A page is a WordPress webpage. It exists at a link, like www.website.com/page. In WordPress, you can either write pages, or posts. Posts show up in your blog. Pages do not. http://codex.wordpress.org/Pages
A category is a way that you can label pages of a specific topic or theme. For example, if I have a lot of web pages about hot dogs, I might give each of them the Category "Hot Dog."
In this hypothetical situation, a user that clicks the category "Hot Dog" could see all my posts and pages that have been labeled with the Hot Dog category. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/categories/
Hope that helps!
A page can simply fall within a category if it pertinent and you decide to have multiple categories.

Ok so I created a blog page. But I had to create it as a category for my posts to go there because otherwise they are going to my home page did I do this correct.

How much reviews content can you write for small items like children shoes towels, cups etc? What is the format when you want to do affiliate marketing for such products?
Hello Zachachi. If I were writing a review about pens for writing with, as opposed to play pens for children, as I'm not sure which you mean here, then I would consider the following things. Does the pen write smoothly ? Some expensive fountain pens don't, but then neither do some ball and roller - ball types. With some fountain pens, ink can be a deciding factor, as some work better with some types of ink, than with others.
Are there various sizes of point available - whether nibs or refills ?
Are there in fact refills readily available ? Is the model of pen available left - handed ? This is an important consideration for many, although being left - handed myself, I don't have an issue with this.
Does the finish and general working of the pen suggest durability ?
Is the pen safe for children to use, or is it going to splinter if chewed ?
I could go on at length here, but I'm sure you get my drift.
I hope this helps.
Regards,
Alastair.
