Trust Me: Is that Picture Really You?
Last Update: Nov 20, 2022
Folks I am sad to see as I sort through new members who have recently upgraded that most of them don't have their profiles fully filled out.
The biggest glaring issue is no photo of them on their profile which can be a serious problem for them going forward. One today even was using a celebrities image instead of th eir own face which means the image has a copyright and unless they are the person who snapped it they can get them and WA some big fines.
You are in a business of your own now folks.
Businesses depend on trust and if every employee, manager, and the owner are all wearing mask all the time that trust is a lot harder to build. Your business has 2 brands minimum and both are vital to get it off the ground.
Brand 1 is YOU and if you ever want Brand 2 YOUR BLOG, to take off you need people to trust you and look for your content across all your platforms. People don't trust a great article from someone they don't know and can't find anything about as much as they do a great article with a growing number of ways to find more content from the author.
If can be the difference between getting a like, share, or subscription and having them leave forever having done none of the above.

Good morning Andy,
Thank you for your blog post, much appreciated.
Those are very wise and true words indeed, Andy! I think we all like to know who we are dealing with. I would not normally do business with someone who doesn't show their face. On LinkedIn, I won't connect with people who don't have a profile picture, fortunately, most people do. And if someone has a picture of themselves with a mask on, I won't connect either!!
It's good to show your face!
Have a great day.
Roy
Hello Andy,
It's good to hear from you, I enjoyed your blog post.
All is well, thank you. My off-line business has been quite busy over the spring, summer and autumn months. Which means I have not had as much time as I would like to dedicate to my online business. Work has quietened down now, so I'm trying to make the most of the time and dedicate it to my online business.
I hope all is well on your end and that business is good.
All the best,
Roy
No that is a picture of me close to fours years ago. I don't like having my picture taken. I wouldn't use a fake picture while trying to build trust. there is couple pictures of me on Instagram if you would to cross reference.
I'm ugly as heck and the folks who still want to do business with me well deserve my time and honesty.

Hey Andy
I think having your own picture on profiles should be the first thing people do. I saw a poll sometime back that showed people will true a person's site less if no photo, even if the site looked amazing and had good content.
I think is so easy people do not understand the power of people seeing who is behind the content.
Have a great day.
