Sometimes I feel small...with a left pinky toe twitch
A little over a month in and there is so much to learn, but I feel I have so little time to go through as many trainings as I would like. Meanwhile, I get hung up reading other people's blog posts and the comments, because they are "training" me too. However, some of the replies/comments make my left pinky toe twitch. I am a total novice to this so I appreciate being able to ask questions and I appreciate all the very helpful responses from people willing to "dumb it down" for me (and others). Unfortunately, some people (very few) respond to questions with a "you should know that" kind of attitude, or "don't ask questions until you finish the training" attitude. And that makes my left pinky toe twitch. It makes me feel small. It makes me not want to ask questions or make comments. And if I feel that way, then at the very least, my left pinky toe is not part of the community, only a pesky visitor.
Today I read a couple of comments that made me feel small (with a twitchy left pinky toe) and that feeling started to snowball into:
- Maybe I'm not cut out for this
- Will this be another of a line of failed business endeavors
- Can this really work for me
- Can I even write quality content
- Have I chosen "bad" domain names (which I haven't requested feedback on because I don't want to feel even smaller)
- Will affiliate programs reject me
- Will my left pinky toe ever feel whole again :-)
Then I stopped and thought about how I've taught my 4 year old son to think:
- How can I become cut out for this
- How can ensure this will not be a failed business endeavor
- How can I make this work for me
- How can I make my content "quality"
- How can I be successful with the domain names I have chosen, even if they aren't the best
- What can I do to ensure affiliate programs accept me
- How can I take back control of my left pinky toe, post-twitching episode
I can! I will! And as long as I keep asking success motivated questions instead of making failure ridden statements my brain will keep working until the answers are revealed.
Anyway, thanks for reading! Hope I didn't offend. Just needed to release it into the atmosphere in the hopes it will be well received.
Blessings!

I remember those feelings of being overwhelmed at times, just stuck with the training and tasks to start with then made a schedule of tasks etc, do I feel out of my comfort zone heck yes most of the time but I am in the right place, wish you every success
There are a lot of us newbies on here. Yes, I get intimidated sometimes that people know way more than I do. Just remember, they didn't start out knowing. You will be all the better for it because you will remember when you started out and be a great help to the new newbies, without a condescending attitude and your karma will be ten fold.
Don't let a couple of rude comments discourage you from moving forward. The way i see it is if they don't know then don't comment at all. Your a great writer, Keep moving forward and continue to ask questions. Most of this community are very nice people willing to help when you need it. Best wishes to you:) Never Feel small and i bet that toe twitch will go away:)
Hi Yoranna, just ask away. Don't let some "funny" remarks discourage you. When I started out, I kept on asking until I got an answer that helped me.
And if all fails, PM me and I see that I get the right answer for you. We Cal "guys" have to stick together, although I live in WA state now. But LA born, not torn between 2 shores (Neill Diamond gets credit for that) I am still a Dodger and Laker fan.
So, any problems, just ask

You certainly have the right to ask questions. You are supposed to do that. If someone does not have the patience to answer you politely then they do not need to bother reading your question.
Most of the people on here are very nice. No one here knew all the answers when they first started. We are all at different levels of learning. This is something where you never learn it all anyway because the internet is constantly changing.
The post that you just gave us is very well written. Can you do this? Yes you can. Take the time you need and learn as you go. Don't allow yourself to give up because someone else may be stressing out. (I will give them an excuse for being rude)
Most of the answers to questions can be found in the training. Usually when someone points to the training, they are not trying to make you feel small. They are just trying to point you to a better answer than they could give you.
Take care.
Thank you so much! Just feeling a bit discouraged today...for some reason. I will keep chugging away!

No one can make you feel that way without your permission....AND THEY DON'T HAVE YOUR PERMISSION!! (My mom used to say this.)
I have reacted the same way a couple times, but then decided everyone approaches teaching and learning differently, and thereby responds differently than we would.
You have a lot going for you. ..and everyone has the right to ask questions, and those qualified have a responsibility to answer. After all, that is how and why WA is structured as such. One day when we are asked for help..we'll remember ...."we were there once" ...and answer kindly.
You go girl!
