Tis the blogging season
One of the very best things about Christmas is that there is so much beauty & joy all around us.
It is a beautiful time of the year. Regardless if you celebrate your holiday traditions at the beach during the summer like our friends in the Southern Hemisphere or if you have a picture postcard white Christmas.
Everyone seems to come together with a greater sense of community & purpose this time of year.
Perhaps others sense that too because you published some of the best, heartfelt & inspiring blogs. I am in awe of the quality people I meet in this community!
I have been reading many more blogs these days. Great blogs. Humble blogs. Blogs of achievement. I still have 27 blogs left to read in my email this evening. I will read them before I turn in.
I read your questions and your stories of overwhelming success. I love the way you so warmly welcome the new people as they come on board.
The excitement people share when their work pays off & they break 1,000 rank points. Or when their rank breaks 700, 500 then 200. The ranking system is secondary, but it is another tool & it is fun to watch those numbers come down.
Rank is an indication of the effort and commitment you devote to building this community. A healthy active community does not just happen. The community, the real power of this program, belongs to each of us. We are responsible for its health & vitality.
Everyone can remember the 1st time we solved a problem on our own. That day we figured something out on our own. I am inspired by those small celebrations when someone, struggling with a plug-in or they overcome a design challenge, creating their 1st blog.
It is that one blessing in our lives that make all the rest of it worthwhile.
I am a serious internet entrepreneur with a clear vision & concrete goals, but that is not where it ends for me. If I never make anything of myself here, it will still be worth it because of all of you.
I drank the Kool+Aid man. For me, it is the community. Everything else will follow in it's time because I am a student. The self-directed training, tutorials, Bootcamp, certification programs are proven over time.
Those of you who know me have heard my story. The night I found Wealthy Affiliate, I had set my mind to come up with $3,000 to join a content marketing mentor program to learn to drive traffic & improve conversions.
There was a 30 minute Skype interview. I am sure ithey were posturing me. I am sure they wanted to present this as an exclusive opportunity. I have no doubt that there would be the requsite upsells. I knew for sure that I would have to do something about automators because the kind of traffic they were talking. I did check this out to the point that I was pretty sure it was a legitimate opportyiniy & not a scam. I could be wrong.
That night, I knew I was committed to success. But I just did not want to sell my car if I didn't have to. So I Googled something, I don't remember the search parameters. The point is that I was going to look around 1 one more time & look around. Was there is anything else out there that can get me where I had to go? $3,000 is a lot of money.
I found this thing called Wealthy Affiliate. The more I read, the more I wanted to know. This WA thing was promising because I was frustrated. I was at the end of my rope because for 2 months I could not teach myself how to build an affiliate content marketing business. I was frustrated when I came stumbling into your community. You welcomed me & took me as I was.
Today, I know that experience is called a blessing.
Merry Christmas to you and your families!
Jim
