As baby boomers we may think that we can and should work forever. As the old saying goes, time catches up to everybody. To each their own, but many people would like to retire but financially they can't. For some, its the mortgage, for others, it may be medical bills and for other, they have nothing to do outside of work.

Financial planners will tell us to start early and invest in a 401K but what about investing in ourselves. I call it "The To Do," having some to do with ones time is critical for us all. Whether it is being involved with a civic group, coaching sports, or something else, we must plan for our golden years. My advice, monitor your health, get regular checkups, do some form of exercise, build a business, travel when possible and live life to the fullest.
