Grocery OnlineShopping, Where will the next technology emerge from?

Itdoes not take long for someone to recognize the speed that technologyis taking us. Not only the direction, but the speed in which itsleading us, gets us to think if onlinegrocery shopping will work.Is it temporary,or will be with us for some time to come. Thatbeing said, what, how and why isthis important, should beexamined for all practicalpurposes. Can shoppingreally benefit our lives?

Thereare tools that we learnthroughout our lives that help us sort these types of things out. Forsome it is easier than others as computers and their technologicaladvances continue to grow. Those who are aware and informed make thetransition rather easily, but the people whom do not will face thiswithout knowing the how and why this is important to them. Whyis this important? Welltechnology has changed and willcontinue doing so for years to come.

Bynot adapting this could lead to problems for those who do not use theinternet or do not want to adaptto the changes, or perhaps some folks are used to the same oldshopping techniques they have always used. What are your thoughts? What do you think will happen five or ten years from now?

cool!
The first Amazon store with paying when you leave was just opened...
AI is here and we will not stop it.
But lets control it.
Tom

I still know people that refuse to have their lives complicated with technology or have a computer in their homes or transfer Bills to direct debits. Sure the service providers want everyone to pay their bills by auto transfer.

I respect people should be allowed to make their own choices. Some of us believe technology is useful and some of us do not.

Technology users have responsibilities. When an anti technology user walks down the street, observing people looking at their hand held devices constantly and oblivious of their surroundings and hearing high volume bip bip, bip bip (messages), this is not encouraging.

People not using technology often believe in the old methods of face to face communication and interactions. This is still a good thing in my view.

We share respect on the WA platform in messaging. I still love to meet people face to face and enjoy that interaction.

People will adapt at there own pace is my feeling.

Wayne

Hi Wayne,

I guess that when you grew up without internet, cell phones etc. like me (and you) it is easier to USE technology and be USED by it, like many young people are today, since they never experienced a time without their gadgets...
So I agree with you.
We still need to communicate with people on a personal level. And I hate texting...the most in personal way of communicating these days.
Any way times are changing and we will have to go with the flow....at least most of us.
Have a great weekend!

Thanks for reply Tom, I just clicked your follow!

Things kind of evolve as we take action along the way. 18 years ago I sat in the UK and kind of did the job.

I made a choice all those years ago which changed my life, travelled the world and now I sit anywhere, it’s a bit more exciting than a cold office in the UK.

We are here at WA because we made a choice, exciting I think!

Have a great Sunday Tom!

Wayne

Hi Wayne,

yep did all that...sitting now for 8, almost 9 years in the Philippines...retired. But, I had enough of all this bullshit corruption and all its problems that are NOT being solved anytime soon!
Funny thing is that since I have my daughter, its basically about her! So we are moving to Europa! Yes COLD Europa, but its still better in everything else but weather!
So where are you now?
I had a fab weekend! I was sick...OK now!
Sunny greetings!
Tom

I don't think we're ever gonna stop the technological momentum. It seems to just be getting faster and faster to me. ~Mark

I like the idea of online purchase in the grocery arena. I think it will boil down to "logistics" (cost of getting goods to your door) and where the burden to that solution will fall in terms of customer costs. If the price of goods remains relative to the convenience of this service...Yes you bet...count me in.
And to the idea of a rapidly changing landscape in the technology universe being a burden, I believe that advances will continue to be both welcome and unwelcome depending upon the degree of difficulty in using these...Keep it simple, and we will follow.
Thanks for this Xavier, I think your next blog could be on how we keep at bay the potential of becoming lazy, fat, and spoiled...
Lol!

Respectfully, David

We are going to see more interesting solutions applied to the shopping. From my perspective, the VR will be helping us with type of shopping we do not experience now,
I also believe robotization will remove sales staff from the shops and sales advisers from the e-commerce sites.
