After retiring in 2013 and enjoying the good life I decided I wanted to do something to supplement my income. An online business sounded like a great idea. So after several failed attempts (and a few thousands in Visa charges), I finally learned to Google a busines before I replied to an email. Well, the emails were all scams and the review mentioned WA as the best way to go. It only took 2 reviews both mentioning WA before I joined and here I am.
Then came the time to choose a niche. I watched the video still with not idea of what I wanted to do. So as I was sitting in my study trying to decide on a niche, one of my computers rebooted and when I heard the beep I looked around at all these computers I had built and are still running and thought "Well, duh! You spent 33 years as a system administrator and you have 13 computers in here that you built to test software and you can't decide what you're comfortable with?"
Part of my duties before retiring was to write documentation for my team in a way that they could take the document, go to the hardware, and perform the documented task without having to ask a single question.
Well, there's my niche. Once I went through setting up the website, writing the blog, and inserting photos I was starting to feel pretty comfortable. After posting my first page I got positive feedback and some excellent suggestions on improving it.

Then came to step to write another blog. And here I go again. As I'm sitting in the recliner trying to thing of something to write, the phone rang. I looked at Caller ID on the TV screen and it was one of those numbers that started with a "V" so I thought telemarketer and didn't budge.
Then a recording started saying the IRS had issued a warrant for my arrest for not filing my taxes. That was kinda hard to swallow since I'd already spent my income tax refund. So I called the number to try to get as much info as I could because I knew it was a scam. It was a very short conversation. After I put the phone down there was my idea for another blog.
So I wrote it up and posted it Monday. Tuesday I got an email from Kyle telling me it was indexed in google. So my next step is to post that link at the end of this blog.

Mission accomplished.
