What theme are you using? A lot of these types of situations are theme-dependent?
Is your home page a blog roll or have you created a static home page?
How do you get the sidebar to appear in the right hand side?

I'm building a complex site for a client which will be a hub and membership site with training free and paid, forum, including a place where businesses can advertise themselves
You may want to have a look at Simple WordPress Membership plugin (free). It offers free and paid membership levels (for different prices) and I think the membership levels are unlimited (don't quote me on this). If I had more time I'd offer my services. ~Marion
Hi Wriot. I read that you need some help. Can I assist? Have you already thought how it should look like? It should be well planned with customer requirements, design pages, design with Wordpress or Dreamwever and then test it. It's quite a plan you need. I'm building one for a Garden Center right now and one here at WA about Apple products. If you need any help let me know.
Thanks Gregory...I'm having a meeting on Tuesday with client with deposit being paid and will be discussing the design and site as well as other features of site. In what areas can you help me in?
Hi Wriot. I can help you in what area you need. If we discuss what the requirements are, planning, etc. Make it a project. I can write project plans. Good luck.

I have a client who wants me to copy/paste her stories (text based) facebook posts to her website blog. Does that count as duplicate content?
Or do I have to repurpose it?
Why not just SHARE the information? You would click the icon, Facebook, and that's it...no worries! Simple and nothing to worry about!
Well FB is considered social media and would be posted only on there and not on the internet. I might be wrong maybe someone else might have a better stab at this.

It's dependent upon your theme settings.
