Other People's Websites

I haven't had much time to work on my own website recently because I'm working on other people's websites. One for $500, another for $1000, and I have just put together a proposal for membership Hub and forum site for $5000. Fingers crossed on that one! But I need to find time for my own sites too...for people who are working on other projects, how do they balance all their projects, including their own sites?

I plan to do a lot of websites and marketing for local business, but will be outsourcing some of it.

Sounds like a heavy load and managing your time can be difficult with taking on so much....wish you luck, looks profitable though. :))

Yes it can be...and need to hire others to help with the workload on the bigger projects. Thanks Kholmes...it's very exciting!

Just what I was thinking this morning! I've had a couple of people approach me for websites and someone wants a banner/logo, all paid work which is great.
I've never really been one for sticking to time schedules but I do set intentions before I get up and stick to them even if I'm up late. As I get busier this will need to change so I'll follow Rosie's advice!

That sounds great, Kathy! There's always plenty of work out there especially with local businesses. I used to partner with a wordpress guy a few years back, and did well. Now the shoe is on the other foot! Now I'm the wordpress guy lol...

Good question I am working on scheduling specific times at present.

I am doing it in chunks of 1 or 2 hours and then working on other bits for other clients.

Tried that today myself BUT got too social again:-)

Yes Online Social Interaction can bite into the hours!

As an established business person, you know we have to create specific work schedules for ourselves to follow...and then the hard part....stick to it.....

Yes it is the hard part. I think I need to put up boundaries too.
