Is Anyone Using Safelists?
I have just started using Safelists for a project I'm working on that will help me build my email list. For anyone who doesn't know, a Safelist is free to join (although you can upgrade) and you can send out an email to their members promoting an affiliate product, business opportunity etc.
It is a great way to build your list by giving something away to join your list. A free ebook, for example. Even if you are promoting an affiliate product, it's good to give something away to get them on your mailing list and then you can promote the affiliate product to them. If you are in the internet marketing or make money niche, you will do well with safelists.

My advice - avoid at all cost! :)
I've used Safelists in the past. I do send out an occasional mailer because I am an upgraded member in a lot of them.
It's very low converting traffic, you will have some people who are desperate enough to try ANYTHING on safelists.
But it's not a good primary tool, you can post some ads here and there and maybe supplement with it.
Yes true...good for building your list. And you really need to offer something free to get them on your list. I have friends who started with building their lists on Safelists. Works better with building your list or joining a free program etc

Safelists and traffic exchanges have got to be done properly.
As with all things IM related it takes a whole lot of time.

Yes totally agree! Definitely takes time, and has to be the right niche/campaign/idea. etc. For building a list in IM, it can be good :)
