Making Time For My Business
It is the Thanksgiving Weekend here in Canada, and my husband and I are travelling to my mother’s for the weekend. All three of our kids will be joining us, as well as my sister’s family. We haven’t all been together in a very long time. To say I am excited is minimizing it.
Needless to say, it will be another busy weekend and I will not accomplish much on my business. So the point of this post is our drive is approximate 5 hours. So I am sitting in the passenger seat, writing like a bandit. I have written an article for my website and I am writing this as well. I have no internet service so doing it on a word document.
I can’t believe I didn’t think of this before. Anyone can write anywhere. I always see students working on buses and trains. So why can’t I do it the truck/car. Well I can.
I have amazed myself. What a great learning curve for me. I am thrilled to be able to do this. I love the writing. And truly if you want something, there is a way to overcome the challenges.
So when do you find time to write? I would love to know any other tricks of the trade.

As I am older. I have learned writing old school, pen and paper with a blank line in between writings. Then I read over it, editing in red ink any corrections or rewording of sentences. Like I said, it's old school, but it works for me.

I often take the bus when running errands around town and find I get lots done in those little 30 minutes between destinations. Have a nice trip and don't eat too much.

Weekends are not given to work like a bandit, you will not have a good rest at the weekend, you will work poorly all week. We were not born in order to constantly work. Relax, chat with relatives because life is so beautiful!

It is a good time to get together with our loved ones. and inspirations come flowing in usually, after all, are done and gone and I am refreshed and relaxed, it hits me anytime at night.

I write when the inspiration hits but mostly I find after 7 pm in the evening a good time.
For some reason when it is dark outside I get inspired.

Great advice. At times, I've written inside of a McDonald's or a Dunkin Donuts if I'm on the road somewhere. Take an hour, grab a cup of coffee, and do what you need to do.
