When you update a post, should you change the date that it was published on to now reflect the date that it has been updated on?
Hi William.
I think that it's entirely up to you. If you make changes to an existing post and you feel that it is necessary to change the published date then you can do so.
Sometime people like to update reviews and then change the published date to show their readers that the post is current.
Other times it is better to leave the original date because the content might be relevant to that particular time.
Hope this helps
Gary
It definitely helps Gary. Thanks for your insight. I think my main concern was to make sure that updating the dates wouldn't mess with my Google rankings and indexing. If I change the date, am I safe on that front too?
William
William, as far as I know, published post dates have absolutely nothing to do with rankings and indexing.
Maybe someone else can confirm this though just in case.

Up to you! Some people keep the original publish date then post update dates within the content, and some people just update the posting date so it displays a more current and 'fresh' look.

I'm just trying to figure out how to tell when a comment is organic?
MOstly I look to see if the person actually says something about what I wrote, or responds directly to something I said. If they say something like "I love your website" or "Great article on TITLE OF POST" then it's clearly a spam comment, and not organic.
Thanks for the response E Kautz. So If I get an email to my personal email account from wordpress, saying a I have a new comment, then will that typically be an organic comment?
No, not necessarily.
That type of notification is simply telling you that there is a comment. The comment could be from me or someone at WA, it could be spam that got through your filter or it may be organic ... which of course is the best kind. :-)

When you go through the bootcamp training process, is it necessary to build a new website? I created an initial website when I started WA that I've been working on and I am wond
Yes, it is best to start a new website to promote WA.
Reason being is because you will be entering a new niche and you'll rank better and have better conversions when you concentrate just on the niche that you'd be in for promoting WA.

When signing up for affiliate programs what should I list as my company name? I'm not sure what to put there.
Normally this isn't required, but you can put your own name, or your website name there if you want to.
thanks for the Help Nathaniell. I thought that might be the case, but I didn't want to sign up without knowing for sure. How have you been?
