A Little R&R Can Work Wonders!
Been a while since I blogged, my time seems to be taken up with my "day job" consultancy business, writing posts for my WA sites, and managing a couple of other online businessses I have.
So when a client, for a software business I consult for, requested a demo of the Plant and Tool Hire software we sell, I jumped at the chance to visit a part of the UK called Pembrokeshire in South West Wales, normally for jobs like this we'd drive down, do the demo and Q&A session then drive back.
However I, like a lot of people, needed a break.. After 18 months of lockdowns, looking after our elderly parents, supporting our children and wonderful granchildren and having had some huge changes in my career, my wife and I were getting tired, my work is full on, I love it but I am always busy, I do sales consultancy at a Steel Processors (for 32 years working in the Steel industry was my only career) I work with the software company and then obviously there's WA, and I also have an online store selling industrial storage equipment and a business building and selling chatbots, so I have a lot going on.
I booked a hotel for a couple of nights, and my wife and youngest packed their stuff and we headed off.
The demo was a success, and the order is in from the client, and we then enjoyed a rare hot and sunny day by the sea (my post picture is from our day at the sea) wondering around the lovely little seaside towns with a boat trip thrown in and then topping it off with some really good lobster on a rare night out on our own for my wife and I.
Usually my youngest tags along, he's 19 later this month but has autiism and some learning difficulties, however a football match between Belgium and Italy on TV and the chance to have burgers as room service meant he was more than happy to stay in the room, we try to allow him to experience some independance as often as we can and when it's safe to do so.
So when he volunteered to stay at the hotel we took advantage to have a date night, well, date hour and a half!!
My weekend was completed last night when England beat Ukraine in the football, Euro quarter finals, now this morning I feel refreshed, reinvigorated and ready to get back to it.
The reason for this post?
A little reminder for you all to take a day or two to recharge those batteries and reward yourself for the hard work and time you put in to your businesses and sites.
One full day at the sea and I feel as refreshed as I would after a weeks holiday (vacation for those of you across the pond).
I was in no way stressed or struggling, I was however, getting mentally tired and after working for the best part of 40 years I can recognise when I need to just have a break, it doesn't have to be a trip like we did, a days fishing will also do it for me, or perhaps a day in the countryside, a walk in the park, whatever it is for you, make the time to relax with your loved ones and recharge.
Now I'm off to start researching keywords for my posts next week, you all have a great week.

Absolutely David! I recommend a little R & R whenever you are feeling the slightest bit frustrated with business as well, when you come back at things with a fresh outlook and reset, it is easy to get things moving in the right direction. :)
Thanks for sharing!

We all need to relax and have a break from time to time David.
Without doing so, our minds and bodies just won't be able to cope.
Pembrokeshire looks great at this time of year! I have visited a few times, and never have been able to take a photo as beautiful as that!
Great to hear that you are refreshed and ready for the new week my friend!
