What is the point?
For the last few months I have been experiencing a rather lot of traffic and gaining an abundance of sign-ups. Me thinking I am doing well, also other people congratulating me on my endeavours but what really startles is the disregard of these people that have signed up to make a profile, or even add a picture, even the slightest commitment to post a reply to mine and the communities welcoming comments!
So my question is, is why do people sign up and not get involved? We as committed learners already making progress can vouch for the authenticity and legitimacy of this learning platform but people just grab and take what they can and run in my eyes!
Yes we are all in the same boat where finances are concerned and took the plunge by having trust in the creators to sign up to Premium so why cant they?
To me, all the hard work is going to waste on people that are not serious enough! Why sign up??? My articles all say "Only the serious need apply" is this a joke to them?
Why waste time? Surely if wanting to learn how to make money should be at the forefront of most peoples minds - So why am I getting all the dregs that want to waste my time??
It beggars belief it really does!
I am stunned at the lack of excitement and enthusiasm of these people to want to turn their lives around, yet don't even bother!
I have had a number of sign-ups since my last blog but have they actually done anything about trying to mingle with me or the community?? NO!!
I will keep going and keep trying because I will not be defeated this time! My determination holds no bounds this time. At least, we already in the community know of the potential this learning phenomenon has and that is why we stick with it!
This learning is ultra valuable - Why cant signees see this??? Answers on a postcard please!
I am not to sure if there is any point welcoming my new sign ups until they take the time to show some real effort

I think it is "Oh crap another one of those things I have to put effort into!" "They told me every where else just sign up and make money!" People are lazy and are full of excuses. About 1% have energy and dreams.
You just nailed why most people never succeed in creating a business. 85% of people never follow through. Ask any successful network marketer and they will tell you they have recruited thousands of people in their teams and 80% of their income comes from 3-5 people.
I've seen some days when over 300 people signed up, but only a dozen or so put up a picture, ever. Out of that dozen or so only a few are active after a month.
It's like a shop in a mall. Several thousand people walk by and just look in the window. Maybe a hundred go in the store. Maybe 10 or 15 actually buy something.
Most people are just window shoppers.
It's the same with conversion rate on a web site. Of all the people visiting a site only a tiny percentage actually stick around and buy something.
Give them time... it can take months for people sometimes to come back to wealthy affiliate after their initial sign up. They are busy, they signed up without really knowing what this was all about. Sometimes they sign up and realize this is a really complex and rich community and they don't know how to use it. And sometimes they realize this isn't what they were looking for. The sad reality is that many people still think they can get rich quickly and easily and they don't want to work hard in order to build a successful online business.
I have seen members though who suddenly went premium, one year after signing up and without even having used the program lol...
I think the fact that you were able to make referrals is just awesome and that it will pay off over time. You are offering people the opportunity to build a real business online and to help them... whether they want to be a part of it or not is their decision. I say, too bad for them if they don't see the potential in Wealthy Affiliate! =)
But again, give it some time, some will eventually come back and wonder what this wealthy affiliate thing is all about ! =)

There are some members who only put forward new sign ups when they fill their profile in at the end of the day just keep doing what your doing and you will get those who are serious about doing more with the opportunity you present them
