The Holiday of a Lifetime

Hi Folks.

Just back from a fantastic holiday in China. Thought we would be able to stay in touch but the Wi Fi was not up to it.

Missed you guys on WA.

Now I am back and, hopefully, bending your ear again, (figuratively.)

A friend once told me his idea of a holiday was anything in sub-zero temperatures. He liked the Arctic and Antarctic.

Most of us seem to prefer sunshine and warmth.

What would your idea of a brilliant holiday be?

I think that a brilliant holiday would be one with my husband. I have travelled extensively with friends and my sister so I would like my husband to be with me this time.

Thanks Marlene. So what is holding you back?

A wonderful holiday would be longer than one week on one of my favorite islands St. Maarten. The biggest thing here is longer than one week.

Thanks Andrea. Always a challenge, to stay somewhere long enough to really get a sense of the place. My ideal is 3 months, though that is rarely possible.

Welcome home. Perfect holiday for me would just be a change of routine with people I love. Debbie

Thanks Debbie. Sounds peaceful.

Did you hike the Great Wall Peony?

Hi Michael. No, we were down the South East part. Shaolin Temples, sea food galore and t-shirt and shorts.

Sounds like you were in the Kwangtung (Canton) area a hop skip and a jump from Hong Kong. Glad you had a great visit!

Fuqin, in Fuzhou. on a clear day, one can see Taiwan. You know your China.

A departure from the mundane.

Thanks Albert.

Anywhere that's peaceful, a nice log cabin somewhere aslong as it had a hot tub!!
