57.3K followers

Here are the instructions:

  1. Go into Pinterest and open a new account
  2. Click on settings (top right corner of Pinterest page)
  3. Click on claim account
  4. Copy the code
  5. Go into your site's dashboard, click on SEO
  6. Scroll to the bottom where it says Pinterest and paste the code
  7. Go back into Pinterest and click continue, then verify
  8. If the verification doesn't go through, go to Site Support, open a new ticket and ask them to "Flush the server cache". Once they do, click on verify in Pinterest and it should work.

Huge thanks to Jay (Magistudios) for helping me with this!

Thank you Vitaliy, instructions were very clear :)

I did send a site ticket as I got 'no relevant meta tag was found', I feel sure they'll fix the problem.

Is there info on how to post onto Pinterest either as your video or something else on WA?

This resource from Jay would give you a head start

Hi Amanda I'd check the link Abie provided. This should help.

Thank you Abie :)

Thanks so much Abie :) I also researched putting social media icons to link from my blogs in WordPress - its quite complex. Do we have a lesson on that at WA?

I was hoping to find a way to add them as a template so that on each blog creation they appear and they don't require adding each time. The disclosure link would be a great one to add to that template too.

Hi Amanda, this should help:

I just shared a plugin in the live chat. I use Hubbub

https://wordpress.org/plugins/social-pug/

Some themes may have those instilled in the Appearance > Customize; you add your usernames where appropriate for them to show permanently on the site

May I ask what theme you are using?

Great info. Something new to me. Thank you.

informative blog and thanks,

Clo
