Can You Stop Posting Pins In Pinterest And Still Get Results?
The answer is both yes and no. Posting on a daily basis (10-50 pins) is ideal but for many of us (and that includes me) life happens, emergencies occur and sometimes we may not be able to maintain that type of publishing frequency.
In this short video I want to show you how to deal with such situations should they arise, but the short answer is that if you're unable to post pins for a day or two, it's not a big deal and won't affect your Pinterest account's growth. Just make sure this doesn't become a habit :)

Excellent info Vitaliy, great tips and especially about keeping a few pins in drafts.
I always keep 20+ or so in draft in case I don't manage to get any scheduled, because as you say life can often get in the way.
For reference you can have a maximum of 50 drafts and 100 scheduled pins.
Thanks again for these tips and updates on Pinterest.
Cheers
Cherie
Hi Vitaliy, thank you for sharing this great video. 10 to 50 is quite a lot:) Can I pin older posts on Pinterest because I am not able to create 10 posts per day.
Hey Simone, I think Vitaliy was referring to 10 to 50 pins per day, not blog posts. And yes, absolutely—you can create 10 pins for your older blog posts! That’s actually a great strategy to keep your content active on Pinterest without having to write new posts every day.
Yes Jivita has it right. For me personally, I do this:
1 blog post = 1 board = At least 20 pins per board
I make 40-50 a day but that's because I make pins for at least 2 boards a day and each board links to it's own blog post.
Is the creating new boards in Pinterest very important to post your pins. Can I mix and match my pins in different boards and still get traffic, even I stopped posting for while?
Yes creating new boards targeting keywords and pins in those boards targeting the same keywords is important. See Jay's classes on this for details.

Thanks Vitaliy, Pinterest is my fav social platform and Pinterest is definitely a visual search engine, and consistency really matters when it comes to pinning.
I've noticed that whenever I stop posting, my monthly views start to drop—and honestly, I still don’t get why! 🤔
Our older blog posts usually get more views and traffic over time, so I wonder why it doesn’t seem to work the same way with older pins.
Does Pinterest stop showing them if we're not active? Would love to understand this better!
Also I have a query-I visited your site and noticed the Amazon page you’ve added—looks great.
I’ve been wanting to do something similar. Could you please share how you added that Amazon page to your site?
Thanks in advance!
Hi Jivita so for Amazon adding that banner is somewhat helping. I do get sales from time to time but it isn't anything major. As for Pinterest, yes if you stop posting pins, it lowers your impressions and how often Pinterest shows your pins overall. It's not a disaster or anything but posting daily is the best policy.
