Hey Ya All!

It's been while since I blogged at WA and thought I should give an update on my journey so far.

I've continued to love the community here and appreciate the comradery and support we all have for building each other's future. I know there is still a lot to achieve here but have had to slow down due to other life circumstances and work commitments.

These circumstances have also slowed down work on the website but not stopped it. The good thing is there is still great growth considering the low amount of effort I have been putting in.

What I've learned from building my site so fare:

You need to build it to learn

As much as we can learn from tutorials and each other, you need to really build it, get your work flow going and discover what works for you.

Try different affiliate sources and test what gets results. This is a great way to learn who your audience is and where your content leads them. This will take at least a good 6 months to have some solid data. Be patient!

Getting to know your audience is one of the most important steps I found in the way I develop posts, layout website and create content.

How much time have I spent

In the first 4 months of joining, I used to spend about 8-10 hours a week and in the past few months this has widdled down to about 2-3 hours per week.

I was stressing about this as I didn't want to lose momentum but after accepting what I could do, I just made the 2-3 hours a week really focused so I could still get at least 1 reasonable post and some other content on social that would like back to the site.

Did slowing down stop my traffic?

Amazingly it did not. Looking at the stats, there were some really slow times, but there was still some flow.

I can say the more you post and have interaction with your audience, the newer traffic that will arrive

One of the questions that some have asked, are commissions flowing?

I'm very surprised with how things are increasing considering the little effort over the past month. The growth is positive and hasn't yet plateau. I'm pleased to say that comms are almost at a dollar a day and using the current growth trend, I might be at a $2 a day by end of the year.

I believe once I have a few more hours up my sleeve, this can grow to have great potential.

I hope this get some the new WA'ers a pinch of hope when you get the 4-5 month plateau and start to think nothing is happening. It will, just keep making content!

Growth is never by mere chance: it the results of forces working together.
