Are You a Strong Person?
Once in a while we need to remind ourselves who we are and what qualities we need to develop in ourselves to persevere and to withstand criticism, lack of understanding, often on part of our family and friends, loss of motivation, low energy, tiredness, our over-emotional reactions to weather (yes, weather), feelings we usually experience towards the end of the year. Maybe not feeling too well, or financial difficulties, or problems with children, siblings, parents, whatever.
Just follow these images and feed on these bits of wisdom. It might well happen that you will read the words spoken right in your heart.
It's difficult to be a strong person . You normally don't complain and people always think you are OK.
But is it a feature of a strong person to ask for help when necessary?I think it is. And it's not always easy either.
Strong people don't chew over their mistakes. We all make them. The feature of a strong person is to say "Yes, it happened. I am sorry.I learned my lesson".
And try to forget, and laugh- if you are to remember, you will remember your laughter, and go further.
It's God's command to us to be strong and courageous. He promises to be with us always. Even when he puts us in troubled waters. He does it not to drown us, but to cleanse us , and help grow.
And this deserves a special post. A strong woman. Should a woman be strong? Or a woman's strength lies in her weakness , like some people say?

You have a lot of good positive power here Vera. For you!

This is such a powerful message, Vera. I've learned that being strong doesn't mean that you have to deny your weaknesses, you just chose not to be overpowered by them.
Yes,I agree. We are not energising bunnies. We have moments of weaknesses which we humbly admit. And we apply to the Lord , and just take some rest, and allow ourselves some things. And it's OK to spend a day in bed, or two days in bed if we need to. The thing is to get up each time and continue.:)
Vera, I love everything about your post. You obviously put much thought and effort into it.Please continue with this to do this, it's so very inspiring.
Thanks much, Patrick. I mainly write for my site now. I just thought this very stuff can be useful for the community, right now, before the holidays.:)

Awesome post Vera, thank you for sharing this! A person very close to me becomes infuriated when I choose to walk away rather than engage in arguments. I prefer to show strength through gentleness (as often as possible, though I fail too), and in all things do not allow another's issues to block my path. Thanks again for sharing this, I very much appreciate it! :-)
Thanks much, Bob. I think at this pre-holiday period people are especially vulnerable and not happy with themselves when they think of what's done and what's not in this passing year.Just thought it might help somebody(and it always helps me when I am writing.) :-)
That takes strength and wisdom, Bob.
Bob, here's another...Don't let others, steal, your, joy...
