My Local Marketing Project - Phase 1
Courtesy:kfw1018
I've been gathering information within WA courses, training and blog posts and have come to a conclusion that local marketing will yield quicker rewards compared to global competition.
I have picked up a client that cannot pay me upfront fees and negotiated a "partnership contract". I have agreed to promote his business online from scratch. I'm in the process of building his website.
I am giving myself three months to achieve the following;
- Build a website and published on local Google search engine.
- Work on his website's SEO at least once a week.
- The client's website to be on first page of local Google.
- At least earn a $ within three months as from today.
Once the above are met, I will be able to buy myself a nice laptop to go out and get more clients.
People are tired (including myself) of being victims of scams. Prospective clients want to see proof of what you claim to know and done.

If I take a look to your partnership, I only see your part of the deal. I've some experience in local marketing with similar service offers. Normally it's based on a recurring (low) monthly fee, with a long range contract. This helps you to get some authority and experience and must cover all your expenditures. That's what I call a minimum win-win deal.
Hi Giludi, thank you for the advice. This partnership comes a long way. Our skills compliment each other, I'm IM and my partner is IT software/hardware specialist. We have been working together with very little ROI until I came across WA.
Will you own the site? I ask that because you could at least have an opportunity to earn some advertising revenue if your client can't pay you. I understand that times are tough for many business owners and they really don't want to pay for internet marketing because they often don't see the value immediately. (Although they will pay ridiculous amounts of money for an ineffective YP ad.)
Anyway, I wish you much success with this venture.
Hi Steve, At the moment yes, it's mine. I have total control of it. All he's interested in is to see traffic to the site which of course will convert to clients. Added you to my G+ https://plus.google.com/u/0/+JohnShelembe
