3 Months Anniversary

This week, my site has celebrated it's 3 months anniversary. I have already accomplished a lot:

  • I'm posting content at a rate of two articles per week. I've had some creation crisis where I posted less, but I've also had some very productive days. More of the second please!
  • Beside Facebook, I've expanded my social media presence on Pinterest and Twitter. Once you get a hang of a social network, posting your content on it becomes easy and it can really boost your temporary traffic. I definitely recommend this!
  • I've had first couple of "spikes" in organic search. Instead of one click per day, I've had 2 on a couple of occasions. It's something! :)
  • I've incorporated a socializing widget into my site, so hopefully readers will share my content (some day).
  • I'm into my fifth stage of training. I've taken it slow, to make sure I take everything in. I've also been reading a lot of members' training and blogs on WA in general.

There are still a lot of setbacks/goals for the future:

  • I'm a member of Amazon affiliate, but so far I have not made any sales. I have one month left on my probation (to make 3 sales), and it looks like I won't make it and will have to reapply (Question: Do I have to do all my affiliate links again then?)
  • I have been rejected by AdSense as not suitable. Which is OK, I'll apply again later when I have more traffic.
  • I have developed a plan (from all the articles I have read on WA) to further optimize SEO on my older posts. I intend to go over them one by one.
  • I plan to expand on Instagram somewhere in the future. Are there any other social media I should consider?

As a general mindset, I have had a roller coaster of motivation - from powerful determination to do and work hard, to questioning everything, including my ability to write, produce and self-motivate.

Hopefully I'll start seeing some results in the future (by results I mean increased organic traffic and maybe my first sale - actually I had a dream the other day that I made a commission of $6.something :D).

And with results, I imagine it'll be easier to self-motivate and have more of those productive days.

Congratulations

It looks like you are making steady progress and moving methodically along. Great!

Thanks. I have a yearly premium, so quitting won't happen. :)

Hi - good start! Agree with Jeffery of course about Quality-filled content being so important. I’ve heard that Pinterest is a good thing to drive traffic. Let us know how you do with social as you build success! Keep at it and don’t give up!
John 😀😂

Yes, I've had a few visitors from Pinterset, despite only having less than 10 pins and virtually no followers.
So imagine what you can achieve, if you put in the effort.

The question, of course, is: is it worth that effort? Could you achieve more if you put in that effort somewhere else?

Because let's not forget: visitors from social media stumble upon our content and may or may not click through to our site.
On the other hand, users who come through organic search, actively seek the content we have.

I probably don't have to empasize which one will have largest conversion to sales.

So right!

Keep pressing on. I have heard from others though that before we try to monetize there are certain levels of quality content-filled post that should be on our websites before they have the best chance of generating sales.!

Jeff

Yep, I found that too now. I think it's introduced into training a bit prematurely.
