Huge Shout Out to Kyle and Carson!
It's been quite a while since I've written a WA blog but I wanted to do this one. Since Kyle did that post on Page Speed, I've been a little, just a little, obsessed with trying to improve the speed of my site. When I did the speed test initially I think it was 67 and eighty something respectively. I wasn't crazy about the 67 because that represented the mobile speed.
Today and only today, I completed watching the SSL training video and activated it on my site. Yesterday Carson did a blog on SiteSpeed - Taking WordPress Website Speed into Unchartered Territory! and I requested the Beta. I got it and I activated it today as well. Then I did a site speed test. Drum roll..... My site hit the 90s! 97 and 98 respectively. Woot, woot!!
From 67 to 97? Now I think that's huge so I just wanted to say thank you because I appreciate having that advantage, especially with mobile users. I have a few sites outside of WA and the speed is no way close to what my WA site has. So I've got my work cut out for me. So Kyle and Carson I just want to say thank you for being so progressive and giving us that extra edge.

So cool! I was hoping for the same results with my sites but unfortunately am still struggling with with render blocking javascript and css above the fold. My scores stay around 70. I'm hoping its all going to be automatic once we are out of beta.
Compressing images an be helpful.
