3 Rules for Success - Rule 3
Just in case you missed the other rules;
My third rule for success is;
3. Sales
Sales is a transaction that should benefit both parties. You will have heard this a lot, win-win. In other words you need to make sure the buyer benefits as well as you.
When you have built trust and engaged with people this is the next logical step, they are going to give you a shot.
This is where eBooks can be your friend. If you write a simple how-to and give it free to your clients (remember now you have their trust) they will want it and they will subscribe to your website.
The best part of an eBook is that you can put links in there to products you sell. Don't go overboard, only offer a couple of products that tie in with your vision.
Don't become a used car salesperson in that you sound greasy and can't wait to get your hands on their money, and you have millions of products for them to choose from.
When you have unlimited traffic you can probably do whatever you like. But when you are a little 'mom & pop' store, your advantage is your personal touch. If you treat people like a numbers game then they will treat you the same.
If you try to sound, act and look like the 'big boys' you are doomed to failure because they are already doing that quite successfully without you. Personalise your site, make it an experience for your clients.
This is how you earn $20, $50 etc because you are not focussed on the masses, you are focussed on the few who enjoy what you bring into their lives. Now imagine you have ten of these little 'mom and pop' stores and each brings in $100 per month. How would you like that?
You think that working small doesn't work, think again. Get one site working properly and setting up the next site will be a breeze. When you get this all worked out then you can think big.
I know all the motivational speakers always say 'think big' but I reckon 'think small' you stand a better chance of succeeding because your clients will love you for not treating them like a number.
Think of sales as you doing a favour for someone you love.
It's like riding a bike, once you stop wobbling you'll be riding like a professional. Give yourself time to grow, become smarter and most importantly be the website that people want to go to because they feel safe there.
Be ecstatic today and bring that into your communication, always!
