MIS Speedway - Hope to get Back here

Well, I hope to get back here to the MIS Speedway in Michigan. Again, I knew it was gonna hurt like heck, but the NASCAR drivers only come around twice a year. I took my two boys to a race a couple years ago and they had a blast. My mom got mad because we did not take her (she got me in to racing when I was young.) It was spare of the moment idea and the boys tickets were Free!

We got her tickets for her birthday for the upcoming June race in 2015. As you can see in the photo, clouds, clouds and more clouds.

Rained on and off and then finally the race was canceled. My mom thanked us for the birthday present of being "absolutely soaked". Man did it ever pour. No thunder or lighting, just raining like cats and dogs. We all laughed once we got to the van.

Well, we all decided to go to the June 2016 race, I am going to do my best and hope to get back here soon.

Can only pray for a slightly overcast day. The sun at MIS can be brutal in June. But it is still better than rain.

Great goal rob. Out of curiosity, how far is this speedway from Motor City?

No more than an hour with traffic. If you do go, I suggest to go early due to traffic. I encourage everyone to try a NASCAR race.

I know, its always a shot in the dark when you order tickets in October and hope for good weather in June. Its Michigan, if you do not like the weather, wait a few minutes and it will change.

Me too, some clouds are ok to protect from sun. But rain ruins a race day.

Reminds me a bit of racing against the clock schedule I've set myself today: writing a new post and reorganizing my menu in a new WP theme. Fun though! Feels great after its done.
