Indexed And it Only Took A Year

That's right ladies and gentlemen, indexed and it only took a year. At this rate, everything

should be ready just as I retire. All ship shape and tickety-boo.

Obviously, that's not the case. If you read one of my recent posts, you'll know it has to do with me overhauling and old post from a deleted site, published over a year ago, that never managed to get the green light from Google, or the 'Big G' as I prefer.

Rather than me repeating myself, you can click on
'The impotence of being ernest' to read it, should you so desire.

So, last night the notification came through that it had been indexed, not only that, more surprising was that it only took ten days, which is quicker by a week, than all of the other posts on that site. Reason being, if you didn't know, was that I haven't done the whole sitemap thing. I just want to see how it does on its own, without any help. Sink or swim, if you will. So far, its swimming.

Moving on, its all hands on deck here, well, just my hands actually. Tuesday is upon us. It's been a mad few days. It was delivery weekend and it went as well as expected, even though it was just me and one of my sons, the good lady has been quite ill with some kind of 'gastro' bug, not nice.

EBay has gone mad. I have been trying to build up the number of listings but as fast as I was putting them up, they were selling. March has already overtaken February in sales, which is nice.

Yesterday was a day of looking and finding. Ever had those days ? All you seem to be doing is searching for something. One thing was a staple gun, which I need to put a cover on our van's plywood floor. It took me the best part of an hour but it did remind me of where other things were and as night becomes day, I will need to lay my hands on one of them in the coming weeks, that's the way it goes.

Another article is on the cards to do with homelessness and I remembered that I had written a post on here, that had some relevant information in it. Could I remember what it was called ? Of course not. Using my best Poirot skills and through a process of elimination, I found it. That's no mean feat. Deep joy.

Now, I have work to do. Some writing, reading and social media'ing. I have 'Clockify' at the ready and shall be working in 45 minute increments for the rest of the day, with no excursions and maybe even no interruptions.

Today is going to be a good day.

Make sure you have the same.

How long does it take you to write a post like this one? See what happens when you get extra time and use it to effectively bring back the sites from the dead. It goes to show that if nothing happens it is time for a change. How has it impacted your traffic? I am having an almost nice day, it is 60 degrees and the sun is shining bright for the first time in a while. Onward & upward, Ole.

Typically, about three quarters of an hour. It does also depend on what I'm writing about. A general rule of thumb and with a fair wind, an hour can give you the best part of 1k of words but that would be with no images or checking etc.
I have no idea of traffic amounts, I've never looked.
Glad to hear you're day is almost nice, it's almost been like a traditional summers day, here.

You're good, it takes me over an hour just for research.

You well know my views on this so I'll not take up any further time....lols only again I know you are most definitely not a stark raving loon...trust the wife is comfortabls in your caring hands and good luck with clockify who must be obeyed!!! Ha ha bet it doesn't have the attributes of Ursula Andress either...; lols

It certainly doesn't.
By the end of today I will have some very useful 'data' as to how I have utilised my time, which will be very useful moving forward.
Thank you for your kind thoughts also. The worst has been and gone, thank goodness.

Good to hear!!

Hey Twack
Congratulations!
Wishing a quick recovery to your wife. Those bugs can be nasty 😷.
Take care

Thank you Jane, you're very kind. The worst is passed now, it wasn't a pleasant one, that's for sure.

I’m glad to hear that, Twack 😀

🙏 Thank you.

Thank you for sharing, Twack! Hope your wife recovers soon from the gastro bug, and how fantastic your deleted site got indexed, just by modifying an old post:) Best wishes, Kathy

Thank you so much Kathy. Today was the first day almost back to normality for her. It was certainly voracious.
Having the post indexed, finally, was a pleasant surprise.
