How Cool Is That ?
How cool is that ? I'm not even sure what possessed me. That said, it was a 'rabbit hole' that I was happy to go down.
It's another reminder of how awesome Canva is. I know I've mentioned it recently but somethings are worth mentioning again and again, so I'm beating this drum a little longer and louder than usual.
The whole 'Traffic is the answer, now what's the question ?' came to me this morning, mainly because I have been looking at ways and means to obtain 'traffic' over the last week or so.
SEO is good and all that, but it doesn't hurt to look at other methods, to try to bolster the attack. Not sure why it's taken me so long to realise this. Last year I didn't even give it a second thought.
'The money's in the list' is another well-used phrase that we hear be bandied around. Again, I had never thought about getting an email list until recently. Now that I'm investigating this side of the online world, my eyes are being well and truly opened.
Anyway, that's a digression. Here's another quick plug for Canva.
Now, here's the truth. It took me no more than ten minutes to 'create' both the title image and the one directly above.
They were both in the 'Templates' section. In the title image, all I did was change the words. The one above, I changed the words and the colours.
As these were in the 'Website' section, there were another four pages, all slightly different but keeping the same theme. If you downloaded the whole set, then you had to pay just under £4.
There was no charge for the single design but subsequent pages were £0.99 each. Of course, they're free if you go 'Pro' but there is a free trial, so you could probably use that to get what you needed.
Anyway, in other news. I've had two 'results' in recent days. My motor insurance was due for renewal and for the last few years, it has risen each time. I never seemed to have the time to shop around, so just accepted the renewal price.
This year I made the effort to get some alternative quotes. I managed to save over £100 and now have a better policy. Sweet.
Also, our mortgage deal is due for renewal in July. At the end of each 'term' they send us a bunch of new offers for us to peruse. So that's now sorted for a couple more years, with a nice low interest rate.
I like how they do business, it's not just a case of 'Here's your new deal, sign it'. There were over twenty possibilities. As I have kept all of the previous deals, it was just a case of seeing what we went with last time and finding one as close to, or better than that one. Again, very sweet. Sweeter.
Time, is once again not on my side, as I have to go in search of large quantities of dog food, such is the life of a large dog(s) owner.
Why has it taken me so long to realise that 'traffic' can be real game changer ? Oh well, 'If the best time to start is now' holds true, then I'd better get on it. Time to research.

I'll take monumental, tumultuous has a sinister connotation in my mind. Still playing with Canva as a free user. Haven't seen where I can download to my computer yet. Might need to be a paid user?

Been trying to research my “list collection” method.
I have even told my wife she needs one on her pet sitting website. She doesn’t want to do that, because she doesn’t know what to write about.
Oh my word, there are a ton of things she can add to a blog about pet sitting or pet care for pet owners to peruse on her site if she so desired. Oh well...
I guess I better build my list first and show her how well it actually works out for me.
That’s what I keep telling her. Simple tips on pet care... I’ve got enough on my plate and if she decides to add, I’ll show her how to access her website then she can run with it.
Right now it’s just a static page with business info and a contact form for setting up pet visits for clients.
It's a whole new universe to explore. I've never really looked into it until recently, so it's a bit overwhelming, in truth. Still, I'll try a few things and see what happens.

Having a good list is huge. I don't have one but building one is a top priority. I also need to start making videos but the free video editing Softwares I have download look like it takes a rocket scientist to make the do what they do.
Thanks for the reminder. I noticed yesterday that the sticker on my license plate had expired at the end of May. I could get a ticket for that if I don't renew it.
Happy that it has helped in some way. I haven't looked into any video editing software yet, one thing at a time.
The children used to use 'Windows Movie Maker' and made it look easy, as kids have a way of doing when it comes to technology.
Without traffic we don't generate an income. Like you I'm only just being to delve into the many ways available to create that traffic. Jim

Still, better late than never to become acquainted with all this. There's plenty of info out there, that's for sure.

Hmmmm, once more, much food for thought Twack. I need to use Canva more especially as I signed up for the pro version, thank you for the reminder.
Traffic? Well there is an endless amount of questions on that subject. I will await some nuggets of information.
I would normally look into it further but am overrun with orders for my other business at the minute, add in a very unwell daughter and grandchildren to look after for longer and life becomes ......... more crazy/manic/nutty? But always interesting and challenging.
Hope Tuesday wasn't too tumultuous.
It is sometimes hard to use everything we have at our disposal, especially when 'life' decides to get in on the act.
Still, aside from that, I like that your are having success with your business.
Tuesday came and went like a blizzard but if you asked me what I did or achieved, I might struggle to tell you, off the top of my head.
