One of mine has a policy of it, so I wondered if this was the same across all.
Kathy is right. Check the agreement with the affiliate. Amazon frowns on it, but I have one that it is allowed.

If you really want to do an ecomerce site Woo is the only one I know of. You can go to add plug-ins and search. Download directly from there and you won't need zip
Plugins will always be downloaded as a zip file, then you can upload the plugin directly from inside Wordpress.
I can't remember if we talked about this before, but are you sure you want to install Woocommerce? A 'shop store' plugin probably isn't the best idea at this point because it's not part of the WA training. You will have better luck promoting stuff on your blog, with content, rather than creating a shopping experience. Does anyone actually generate income from shopping plugins? WooCommerce is best for people that have their own products they want to promote online. You might already know this...just double checking :)

Getting in a right tiswas on one page all the time?
When you create a link on your website, there's an option that says "open in new window". Tick the box, and it will automatically do it for you. There's a way to do it manually via code, but you wont' need that for links you create in blog posts/pages.
Go to Appearance - Menus. On the top right you'll see "screen options, click on this and make sure the "link target" is checked. http://screencast.com/t/WzecISwhyWG
Click on the menu item you want to open in a new page and you'll see the option to open in a new tab.
