Seems that was what many though, I was just confused and tired of hearing about how unfair the point system was. It is merely an indication of your involvement in WA. Meaning you are at the screen too often! It also means you are usually willing to help others. I suppose it is nice to know. The reality is that most of the lowest numbers have more time or more knowledge to share. If I worked 12 hours a day, like some do, I would seriously be too tired to answer as many questions as I do. I do it because it was done for me, because I loved the help I got from my fellow WA'er.
I hope that never changes!

I guess in the real world you would call it by stronger words than moaning and groaning, but it was so silly. Glad it is now clarified!

I love your answer. I have learned more and more about how to have a good website, I have learned that there are people who really care about me and are willing to give of their time to help me along (that is a great feeling). And so much more, just by interacting and listening to the lessons Kyle and Carson plan out so very well! There is no lack of information here, that is so very true! Eddie you're absolutely right. I receive "goodies" from WA everyday! Whether it be in training or something someone says on a post or blog. I really do enjoy being a part of WA and even though money is tight right now I'm trying to figure out how to maintain the premium. Rank within WA is meaningless to me - it's not part of why I am here. It reminds me of a conversation I had with my fiance recently:
Me: "Hey, my rank at WA went up (improved)!"
Him: "What does that mean?"
Me: "Absolutely nothing!"
Him: "Oh. OK. Well good job!"

All right, I'll stop commenting now. I think you all know where I stand. Granted my rank is 70, but it's no different than if it were 747. Or 13. Terea, keep on keeping on!

No problem Terea, we at times lose focus as to the "Why" are we really here in WA for.

You've put everything into perspective in this post and we must re-evaluate our own personal goals to achieve our own success.

Amanda, I think we at one point or the other go through the same challenges and bumps on the road and encounter the questioning if this really will work or not.

I had my wife ask me the same question when I was not generating any revenue, but I kept at it and spent more time on my website, creating content and engaging my readers more and more.

I know you will make it happen. Just keep at it no matter what bumps appear down the road.

If it was that easy, everyone would be making loads of money. The big difference you have from "others" out there is that, you have all the tools here at WA and you have this great community rooting for you!

Hello again. I think you have your priorities in the right place Katie! Keep up the good work and the wonderful help you give others. This is a dynamic "Pay it forward" community and you keep it going along with the rest of the people who think like you do.

Rank means nothing until you get to 12 and then it is a small gift. You participate, have fun and do not worry about your rank, as long as you are participating and having fun and building a web site that will bring you money! Happy, you are doing well. Even though your English is not perfect, I bet it is much better than my Thai!

There was a flurry of I would say angry posts about how their points were not dropping and how unfair the algorithm was. It was really quite disturbing. I love to help and I was reading about points, which did not help me or anyone else. Finally I went to the source. I hope now that people understand that it is much more important to help people because you truly enjoy helping, not for ulterior motives. I'm not sure how I got to 13, all I have ever done is answer questions, post a few blogs when they come to mind and I actually did a couple of beginner teachings. I used to teach english to foreign business men, I loved it. Maybe this post will put to rest the unhappiness to those who value points so much! I sure hope so.

I know exactly how you got to 13! From what I have seen on the Rank algorithm it makes perfect sense. Even if it is a little whacky, who cares???
You used to teach businessmen? How fun! I used to think about translating for Japanese businessmen, but a) my Japanese would need Serious brushing up and b) a friend of mine does that for a living and is rarely ever home.

I wonder why? Is it scary to let people know you are curious? What are your thoughts?

I've been waiting for a time to use it. I saw @Rich used it the other day. I had to LOL

I love to ski and scuba dive, but as you said the travel is grueling. I have been to the close places and am ready for the dream vacations. I would not mind if I could fly first class, but that costs as much as the vacation itself!

You will have to ask an ambassador that question, I have never been there! Come to think of it I have never seen a glowing post about the "rewards" either!

I don't think Derek or I are concerned. If we ever get something, great! If not, oh well. But you're right, I don't think I've ever seen a post saying "guess what I got from Kyle!".
