A themed choice
As I use and learn more and more about WordPress and WordPress themes I come across interesting information I wish I had know before starting a webpage at all.
If you have been building a web page for any time at all, and have changed themes then you are aware of the fact that themes come in many different looks and degrees of difficulty to use. The number of themes available for free are incredible. Add the number available at a cost. It is like being in an ocean with no ship!
As an affiliate, there are certain things that I would like to be able to produce:
Blog Posts
Product Reviews
Squeeze Pages
Article Pages
CPA Style Landing Pages
Presell Pages
Being able to generate all of the above listed pages seems almost impossible with a free theme, unless you are a super WP savvy guru.
I have browsed free themes and paid themes. Most of the paid ones offer 1 theme and are kind of expensive, with no money back guarantee. Today I ran across Elegant Themes.
Elegant Themes
http://eleganthemes.com
For $39 you get over 80 different themes that are customizable to different degrees. It averages out to less than .50 cents per theme.
Each of the themes has a control panel for customization, allowing for navigation, colors, layout, advertisement and more. You use drop down menus and radio buttons to move around.
Elegant Themes includes Shortcodes that add extra easy ways to include buttons, toggled content, boxes, image sliders and more. These particular things are designed to make our lives as affiliates easier.
My favorite part? 100% Money Back Guarantee!!
So, here I go spending money to make life easier. I will let you know how much difference I notice!

Wow, Tria! This is awesome. Definitely I will get this on my next projects. Thanks for sharing.
Jay says he did not like the themes, but with a 100% money back guarantee, I may try them anyway The best news today is that Kyle approved my title - MyDogMyJoy. He said it was brandable an thought that I would enjoy it!.
I'm glad you were able to coin your title. That's looks great, a lot better than the first one. I like it!
I went through Genesis, I didn't like their themes. As I've said, it's a matter of preference. Should I say men have different choices from women? I liked eleganthemes. Probably because most of my favorite colors are there and they are excellent in their layout variations, the not-so-boring themes + the 100% money bak guarantee, I couldn't ask for more!
I'm interested in hearing more about your experience with elegant themes as well once you try it out. I bought a subscription a few months ago but couldn't figure out how to navigate the set-up process. I had a hard time finding answers to my questions in their forum and didn't get much of a response back so I asked for the refund (which was to their credit returned promptly). Now that I now a little bit more about WordPress maybe the set-up would be easier for me. Let us all know how it goes!
Thanks! - Kari
Oops. Did I?
I didn't like the theme. That doesn't mean you won't like them. You can demo the themes and there's always the money back thing. But to be honest I think that Genesis is better than Elegant Themes for a number of reasons.
If you're interested in those reasons I have a blog post that I did on why I use Genesis Themes on all my sites.

Nice! I've heard of them but never tried it. I'd be interested in hearing more about your experience. I looked at themify themes... they are a bit more expensive but the themes are really contemporary and look really professional. The best part is they have a built in drag and drop system that makes it easy to add just about anything you want!
The link you have is wrong though. Should be http://www.elegantthemes.com/
I think I have a membership with them. I'll have to dig up my account info or something. I tried them before but didn't like the theme I got.
I'm satisfied with Genesis / Studiopress themes (paid) and use them on all my sites.
Sounds like future plan for me. it was way over my head though. I'm not sure, but I think I will be able to do a lot on Graphene. So far it is easy ( as long as I understand the directions) and they have a customer service.
Right now I'm working on the new level 2 lessons, I added photos to my site and redid the About Me. But if some one knows about Graphene please advise me. I will eventually want to put an opt in offer to generate a mailing list, do product reviews and offer affiliate products as well as find a way to engage my readers more.
I wish you the best of luck with Graphene. ZeeThemes, the one I am using now has paid customer support, but no free support or phone number. Did you get Graphene from the choices given to us by WordPress?
one of the members here is an affiliate for them if you have not bought it yet let me know and I will tell you who you can talk to.
Always happy to receive information - is there anything for sale that does not have an affiliate representation? Since I started on this path of IM I have encountered none!
I saw something similar last night. I'm gonna purchase one when I can too. Til then I'll have to figure out the 5th theme I'm on! x

There's a multitude of independent theme developers out there, some are better than others and you have to be cautious as some are *abandonware* where a developer has stopped updating their themes and they may cease to be compatible with the regular updates to WordPress itself. It's the same with plugins. Woo for example, is a respected developer and has both free and premium themes at http://d.pr/CGEg However, I wouldn't want anyone to think they're somehow missing out if they're not using paid-for themes, many of the most successful Members here have sites that utilise free themes. I'm afraid that no paid-for theme is a substitute for great content. :) Rich.
Thanks Rich. It's not that I think free is not suitable, but from what I read these particular themes were written with affiliates in mind, so it sparked my curiosity. What caught my eye were the squeeze pages and the presell pages. Have any idea of their concept of 'better' when it comes to these particular pages?
