In the first line they need internet access! When you sign for any plan offered by the autoresponder company, You will get the requirements of the OS you need to have in order to run such tool.
Afterwards, You need to insert your email list of groups! Further they need pre-written messages written to be sent, scheduled for different sending time, or "cycles" .
Normally, these are series of emails, starting from Welcome email, introductory email, then further email sequenes related to the topic or niche you want to inform your recipients of.
The text should be written in simple and easy understandable tone and purpose. Speak to our audience as You would speak to our friend at home. Be friendly, informative and as already stated, share valuable content! This is essential Otherways the bounce and unsubsribe rate will be high!
The whole process of sending emails out works in very simple 3 steps:
- Step 1: when the visitor of your page subscribes for your email list, he will get from Autoresponder automatically welcome email. Sometimes, or very often, before that the subscriber must confirm the opt-in email
- Step 2: afterwards, the Autoresponder starts sending emails depending on the settings. It means, depending on the time setting you ordered in Autoresponder, it will start sending either one day after welcome email or two days after or even three days after that.
It is recommended that the first email is sent to the subscribers, one day after the opt-in email, and the next one the third day after that.
You can set the Autoresponder to send emails as you want, depending on the features programmed in it. It is useful to send the emails every two-to-three days for the period of couple of weeks in a row.
Some Autoresponders, as already mentioned before, can track subscribers behavior. So you can follow and organize your campaigns more effectively. - Step3: Frequency and number of emails sent. If you set Autoresponder to send emails every second day of the week,it makes approx. 3 emails per week, and if you keep that pace for almost two months, the recipient will receive up to approx. 20 emails, which is fine.
It is important not to "bomb" the recipient with emails, because you may be considered as a spammer. In that case, the customer will become to frustrated and probably will unsubscribe from your email list.
Somebody sends email once per wek only, what is fine too! This depends on the purpose of your campaign. The emails could be sent also for couple of years reguarly weekly, be-weekly, monthly, etc.
I would recommend to send up to 15-16 emails in one email sequence set for one campaign!
The best frequency should be set if you send emails every second day, and after every third day, and after that every week. Again, it all depends on the scope and purpose of your campaign and the profile of your recipients.
A note: keep in mind that your emails are always updated and accurate, well structured and well designed. Professional Autoresponders have already built in such templates, although, my opinion is that personally, originally written and designed emails are always best.
Great training. I have bookmarked it.
