3. Tripod

Tripods are useful for making your videos stable helping to improve the production value of your content.

Tripods depend on the weight of the camera being used and they are fitted for small handy cameras to the ones built to hold bulky video cameras.

4. Lighting

Lighting helps to brighten the pictures especially if you are shooting indoors. There are wide ranges of lighting equipment to choose from like the softboxes which emulate natural light coming in from the windows.

Umbrella lights can be used even on low budgets and are suitable for backdrops and on-location shoots. Ring lights are also good and very popular among vloggers who need it because of the ability to eliminate shadows from any direction.

5. Video Editing Software

Although YouTube has its own video editor which is appropriate for a number of tasks, it is advisable to go for the popular choice of video editors – Adobe Premiere, which comes with features that give your videos professional finishing.

Conclusion

I believe that this tutorial has succeeded in removing all complexities associated with creating your YouTube video. There are different options for all skill and budget levels so you can produce exactly what is acceptable to you. Just ensure that you capture all the important details before shooting the video.

Now that you have been armed with information about all you need to start creating your videos, you can start planning to make your next post or eBook into that video you have so much desired.

Remember that things get better with practice and consistency and so do not let your first attempt discourage you from making more videos.

These are great tips! I also wanted to point out that in order to be successful on YouTube, you don't need a bunch of expensive equipment to get started, but I would recommend you make sure your videos are well lit and your audio quality is good.

Also, if you don't know how to edit your videos I would recommend learning how to use a video editing software (like iMovie) prior to starting. At least, these are the tips I've gathered from successful YouTube videos.

Great article and a great read.

You're welcome, Tim! You need those tools if you intend to upload self-made videos to your channels. However, you can upload creative commons (CC) videos to any YT channel and monetize them whether you have creating tools or not yet without facing any copyright assault. Thanks for stopping by!

Thanks again Israel for another great training. I will be using my iPhone for making videos, do you think a lapel mic will be ideal for that?
